Why this must be read This is my last rec and I'm breaking the rules and 1. Reccing two stories, and 2. Reccing one that isn't available online, but I love this story just that much. Ever After is posted at the archive, and it was powerful enough to spawn not one, but two sequels by different authors. One has a more real world (I won't say realistic, because by TS standards, they both qualify as realistic)ending, and a sadder one. The second is Changes. I first read Changes a few years ago in one sitting. It was the zine of a friend, and after she sold it, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I don't buy very many zines due to finances, but this one I bought full price so that I could have it. Incredible artwork and a wrenchingly beautiful story in which Jim and Blair heal each other in so many ways. Changes is about love and loyalty, and most of all about miracles-small ones and large ones. If you get a chance to beg, borrow or -okay, don't steal it-but if you get the chance, any chance, read Ever After, and then read Changes.

These are all fun and naughty stories, and its wonderful to see so many authors writing one big story. What I love about this story is that once the boys are together, they have so much fun. The sex is hot and sweet and real, and Addie has a real knack for writing them in fun situations. This is a great long read, and definitely one you can sink your teeth into. Highly recommended!

Brief Summary: This is a pairing I don't support or even really understand (Ronon/Weir), and crossed over/fused with a universe I once tried to read and couldn't because I found it too disturbing, and yet I'm rec'ing it, so what does that tell you about the fic? *grin* I chose it for this prompt not so much because the story is dark (although some parts are), but because the universe it's set in is one that turns our usual paradigms regarding light and dark upside down--the good guys worship darkness. It's the story of a warrior Prince sold into slavery and redeemed by a Queen finally worthy of his loyalty and, eventually, love. The characters all manage to be recognizeable while still fitting seamlessly into this very different world, and something about that world makes it easier for me to countenance pairings that would probably totally turn me off in a more familiar context. Or maybe the author's just that good. ;-)

I have really enjoyed this series since its inception because of its in-depth look into Severus Snape’s childhood and the circumstances that formed him into the person we meet in Rowling’s books. It’s a long read but the time will pass fast as it is engrossing and extraordinarily well written.

The summary does not do this story justice. Saving Connor is the first of seven books (one for each year) and of those seven three have been completed and the fourth is in progress. There is no way to describe how much I am enjoying this series. It is well written, suspenseful, orgional, funny, heartbreaking, and so many more things. When I first discovered this story I stayed up until 4am reading it, and spent the next three days reading the other books. There is no praise too high for this author and I urge you to read it.
