There is a whole fanfiction universe evolving about 'Echte Kerle' a German film - you could produce at least three other films. This story would be one of them. By the way who would have thought that Higlander and Echte Kerle are such a perfect match. The right story for long dark winter evenings.

Warum man diese Story unbedingt lesen sollte:
Tja, wo soll ich anfangen? Die Story ist spannend. Aislings Chris ist soooooo Chris. Die Chris/Methos-Trainings-Szene ist 'nett'. *eg*
Inzwischen gibt es ein ganzes Universum rund um 'Echte Kerle' - davon könnte man noch mindestens 3 Filme drehen. Diese Geschichte wäre einer davon. Und wer hätte gedacht, daß sich das Highlander Universum so prima in Echte Kerle integrieren ließe. Genau das richtige für lange dunkle Winterabende.

What's remarkable about this story is it was written before "Revelations" aired, and goes into even more depth than that episode did about how Jack feels that Samantha is not ready for active duty yet. The author has extremely good insights into Samantha's thoughts about the gun, and what it symbolizes to have Jack take it from her. The ending takes Jack's vote of confidence in Samantha and her abilities even further than the show did -- when Jack does eventually give Samantha back her gun.
