Hey, look at us, we're done! I hope you've enjoyed the fic recs so far, and here are the last two. BIG DAMN TABLE.
Claim: X-Men Movieverse, Rogue
Title: "Not Like This"
Author: Chickpea at
chickpea.
Characters: Rogue, Wolverine
Prompt: 47. Reccer's Choice
Rating: R
Length: medium to long
Brief summary: Yes, this is mine. I wrote it for the
xmmficathon this year, and nearly died of embarassment while writing it... and now I'll force it on all you people. Rogue is a hooker, sort of. And Wolverine comes to see her, and they fight. Yay.
Logan eased himself into the chair. “Good to see ya, kid,” he said. When the waiter appeared at the table and asked for their drink orders, Logan quirked an eyebrow at her. “You old enough to drink yet?”
“Of course,” she lied easily. The waiter looked too intimidated to even try to doubt her word in front of Logan, so she ordered a gin martini. Dirty.
Logan, his gaze never straying from her face, said, “Whiskey, clean,” just like Rogue knew he would. His drink of choice hadn’t changed over the years; she liked that consistency about him. Drink orders taken, the waiter retreated to the bar.
“How ya been?” he asked.
Rogue thought about the full range of answers she had prepared over the years. “You already know parts of it, I’m guessin’,” Rogue said. “It’s probably why you came tearing down to the city, isn’t it? Come to save me again?”

Title: "Lessons on the Side"
Author: Nancy Lorenz at A Life Not Ordinary
Characters: Rogue, Jubilee, Wolverine
Prompt: 49. Reccer's Choice
Rating: PG-13
Length: long
Brief summary: This fic is completely unlike any I've ever seen. It's told in the form of notes passed between Jubilee and Rogue during classes at Xavier's School. Even better, it's actually been hand-written and scanned in. Rogue's and Jubilee's (and Wolverine's) handwriting all look different, which I think it the most fascinating part. It would have been easier to simply type out a fanfic, but Nancy took it further and actually made it tangible.
