Why this must be read This is a departure from Caro Dee's usually more lighthearted style. It's a strong vision of the dark side of the Sentinel/Guide bond. You ache for Jim even while you want to smack him one, and say "tell Blair damn it!". Or at least I did. To me, the betrayal isn't in his needs, but in his lack of honesty with Blair about what's going on.
