Title: Please Hold Tightly
Author: M
Characters: John, John, Noranti
Prompt: #21, Epiphany
Rating: NC-17
Length: Medium
Brief summary: John, Noranti, lakka, and a red dusty planet; TalynJohn shows MoyaJohn what he is. This is an elegantly written dream fic that presents a really cool concept via John/John porn. Okay, it's not so much about porn than about John piecing himself together, but the believable and well-handled John/John is definitely a bonus.

Title: Bonding
Author: Thea
Characters: John, Braca
Prompt: #22, UST
Rating: R
Length: Medium
Brief summary: A stressed out John vents out on Braca. Read this because this is completely, refund-guaranteed, 100% believable John/Braca. I love this Braca, smug and a little bit superior but still thoroughly Smithers.

Title: Hook, Line and Sinker
Author: Searose
Characters: John (with brief mentions of the crew)
Prompt: #23, Time
Rating: PG
Length: Medium
Brief summary: This is a great, lyrical, surreal and creepy look at what would happen if John's reality was the ONLY reality, and he lost track of his original destination. This is a post-Unrealized Realities story, with an original look at the consequence of wormholes.
Link to the story: Hook, Line and Sinker. Season 4 spoilers.

Title: The Break-Out Club series
Author: Thea and Feldman
Characters: John, Aeryn, Chiana, various sprogs (a.k.a. spawn of John and Aeryn)
Prompt: #24, Future Fic
Rating: generally PG-13 (I guess) except for a porn interlude
Length: Epic
Brief summary: These are long, plotty, and fun post-series stories featuring a settled-in John and Aeryn. Their kids are engaging, sympathetic, yet still flawed characters. I especially dig their D'Argo, who's thoroughly a teenager -- desperate to get away from his parents' strict rules, unaware of just how dangerous their lives are.

Title: Scientist, Astronaut, and Nymphomaniac: The nine lives of John Crichton
Author: Feldman
Characters: John, Aeryn
Prompt: #25, Kink
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: No matter what, I would have read this story just based on the title alone, even if it were a Mary-Sue fic with a 1 to 3 ratio of typos. Fortunately, this is the best canon-based genderfuck porn story I've ever read -- a both hot and in character Out of Their Minds fic. (And yes, genderfuck is canon for Farscape, as well as cross-dressing and mpreg. ::hearts fandom::)

Title: Black (Ghosts)
Author: M
Characters: John, Sikozu, Chiana, Aeryn, Grayza (with guest appearances by Scorpy and D'Argo)
Prompt: #26, Death
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: If this fic were a movie, I would have watched it through the sieve of my fingers. M brings John to an absolute nadir -- with his mind frelled until his synapses popped -- but the story stops just shy of dark fic, balancing it out with compassion and hope for a different day. Beautiful storytelling, with one of the coolest uses of non-chronological narrative that I've seen around.

Title: After Never Too Late
Author: Sunshiner
Characters: John, Harvey, OC
Prompt: #27, Original Character
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: While sniffing down Aeryn, John tries and fails at another round of the ol' trust game. The John POV here is solid. You can understand why John connects with the original character Sunshiner builds; John sees her in terms of Moya's crew, in a Zhaan-like smile or Jool-type pout, as he tries to find something familiar. A fill-in-the-blank for the downtime between season three and four.

Title: In the Nightmare of the Dark
Author: StarsGoBlue
Characters: John, Aeryn
Prompt: #28, Dream
Rating: PG-13
Length: Medium
Brief summary: John dreams the million ways A Constellation of Doubt could have gone wrong. Five things that never happened after John pulls his gun on Aeryn, but it doesn't stop him from obsessing about them. Gorgeous.

Title: Slave to Time
Author: Crankygrrl
Characters: John, Kara (Fandom: BSG)
Prompt: #29, Weapons
Rating: PG
Length: Long
Brief summary: Kara is snatched up for inter-dimensional slavery and Einstein forces John to rescue her lest time, space, and several dimensions collapse. John's not exactly the ideal cavalry, Kara's not exactly a damsel, but they save the day with explosives and messy planning. This is a fun and plotty story, both true to the characters and not at all as cracked-out as you think it would be.

Title: Disruption
Author: Huzzlewhat
Characters: Jenavian, Aeryn, Chiana, Crais, D'Argo, John, Jool, Rygel
Prompt: #30, Seduction
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: After Fractures, the crew bumps into Jena, the Peacekeeper Disruptor from LatP trilogy. Wacky hijinks ensue as Jena tries to complete her (unrelated) mission while piecing together what happened to the Moya crew over the last year. I fell in love with Huzzlewhat's Jena -- focused, decisive, independent, seductive, manipulative, intelligent, and sometimes in need of a good slap upside the head. She's a different kind of Peacekeeper, but she's still a Peacekeeper.

The Sentinel-Jim/Blair
Title: Nature vs Culture(Nature series #1)
Author:Francesca
Characters:Jim/Blair, Simon, others
Prompt:046-Reccer's Choice
Rating:R
Length:Medium
Why this must be read This is an incredible series that explores the nature of the Sentinel and Guide and their connection. It's a long series, but it's constructed in pretty much stand alone arcs. This first story is a little dark, but don't let that scare you away. If you love the 'sentinel' part of TS, this series is a must read.

Author:WordWitch
Characters:Jim/Blair, Naomi,Steven,William, others
Prompt:036-Family

Why this must be readThough this takes place in the middle of a series, each story has a stand alone presence. This one views Jim and Blair's marriage through the eyes of their family, both of blood and choice.

The Sentinel-Jim/Blair
Title: Limbo
Author:Julad
Characters:Jim/Blair
Prompt:040-Confession
Rating:PG
Length:Medium
Why this must be readThe actual confession never takes place on screen so to speak, but it is pretty much the confession for the show. The one that changes everything for good. This story is how they come to the decision, and it's a lot of other things too, including a beautiful first time story, and a meditation on Jim with almost lyrical imagery.

The Sentinel-Jim/Blair
Title: Angel of Death
Author:Cm Shaw
Characters:Jim/Blair, others
Prompt:043-Denial
Rating:PG
Length:Medium
Why this must be read This is one of my favorite TS stories for many reasons, among them, Blair's faith and determination, his denial of death itself, Jim's dedication and devotion, and the miracle we all wish we could have.

The Sentinel-Jim/Blair
Title:Heartbeats
Author:JM Griffin
Characters:Jim/Blair, Eli,others
Prompt:046-Reccer's Choice
Rating:PG
Length:Long
Why this must be read Well I admit I love kidfic, and this is one of the best out there. Blair is missing and he sends his son to Jim to take care of. They grow to love each other while they wait for the man they both love to return to them. A simple summary that can't encompass just how touching and lovely this story is-without being sappy or false in any way.

Title: Back to Good
Author:Bone
Characters:Jim/Blair
Prompt:037-Makeup
Rating:R
Length:Medium
Why this must be read There are a lot of post SenII fics out there, and this one really captures the sense of disconnect that had to be present between Jim and Blair after they returned home. The reconnect isn't smooth and sweet-instead it's awkward and uncomfortable and painful and real.

Why this must be read This is an amazing-gripping-painful-powerful vision of what could be. This story left me stunned the first time I read it. When you finish it-go check out Legion's a/u of this a/u-equally amazing, and a prime example of why fanfic from fanfic can be an excellent thing.

Title: Amor Vincit Omnia
Author: Shella [livejournal.com profile] villain132001
Characters: Stuart/Vince
Prompt: 02. AU
Rating: NC-17 (Eventually)
Length: Epic
Brief summary: The AU of the AU's. Shella took a very brave step and set Stuart/Vince in 75AD Roman-occupied Britiannia. Vincentius is a Roman soldier who is sent to Glevum to work. Acanthis is a Celt slave who catches Vincentius's eye. What I love about this story so very much is that she keeps the essence of each character there, even through they are so far removed from modern times. She is building up this WIP so well, giving us equal doses of angst, drama, and yes, naughtiness. At the same time, you really get the feel for the time, as well as the constraints that this relationship is under. She has taken her time to research and be as accurate as she can. What I really love about this story is that you feel like you are reading a book. The plot is well thought out and a real joy to read. This is a WIP; Shella writes at a fairly fast clip, so I don't hesitate to recommend this, even if you usually wait to read WIP's.

Brief summary: A story set while Stuart is away at Uni. I really loved the premise of the story, with Stuart wanting Vince, and thinking he wasn't good enough for him.
