The author has great insights into the delicate balance of this relationship, and how difficult an actual friendship may be for two people who not only have had a romantic history, but who still have feelings for each other.

My recommendation:
DO NOT go into this expecting a serious fic. This is the most silly, totally crazy, laugh your ass off, funny story I've ever read. The main reason. It's completely ridiculous! I prefer serious fics, but I have to say if you like to laugh you have to read this fic at least once.

Round II

Claiming for Round I is now closed! However, that just means that claiming for Rounds II, III and beyond are open! You can make up to two claims for upcoming rounds. If your claim is already picked for Round II, you can always claim it for Round III, IV, etc. Claiming for Round II ends December 31st, but I have a feeling claims will go fast, so sign up! Also, take a look at our wait list to see what fandoms have already been claimed. If your name isn't up there and it should be, let me know!

Also, for Round II, I'm going to change the table up some to spice up the recs, and give reccers more options for different kinds of fics. I'm taking suggestions here. So if you have a favorite kind of fic, or an interesting word prompt that I left out, let me know.

I'm also putting a poll up here to see what you think of the current prompts. Which ones you enjoy reading and/or reccing, and which ones you don't. The purpose of this community, besides the fun of it, is to make a recommendation archive with a variety of different types of fics in a variety of different types of pairings. So even if you're only enjoying the recs and not making them, I still want to know your opinions on how to make the recs as interesting as possible. I'll keep the poll up until about mid-December when we make the final decisions about the Round II table. Thanks in advance. It really shouldn't take that long.

It’s especially potent as it’s from Casey’s perspective as he watches Dan slide further and further into depression – it’s not often Sports Night readers get a lot of looks inside Casey’s head (usually, it tends to be Dan) or his feelings regarding the friendship. But this piece is just amazing and powerful. The writing is perfect. The storyline is dark, but hopeful and full of the things that made Sports Night so wonderful.

Brief summary: This story begins with Lance's first gay experience, and the beginnings of his attempts to reconcile his sexuality with his faith.  The romance between the guys is slow and sweet, with kisses like surprises.  Although the plot spans Nsync's history from pre-Orlando to almost present-day, it doesn't read like a chronology fic at all - it merely flows from one event to the next.  Probably my favorite Bassez ever.
