Characters: Rogue, Magneto/Pyro
Prompt: 20. Non-Con
Rating: PG-13, for language
Length: medium
Brief summary: I'm not quite sure what's conventional and what's non-conventional, since my OTP of Wolverine/Rogue isn't canon itself and I've seen just about every combination of X-Men movieverse pairings (and then some), so I'm going to pretend that Magneto/Pyro is non-con enough for this prompt. Lalalaaaa, can't hear you, canon!
Rogue bumps into Pyro on the DC metro, 8 months after the events at Alkali Lake in X2. The conversation between Pyro and Rogue is terrific, highlighting the problem with having your friends turn into your enemies even though they aren't, not really. The conversation between Rogue and Magneto sheds a lot of light on how they can still relate to each other. Rogue is both plucky and uncertain, a girl caught between forces within herself and larger than herself.
