Logan travels back in time to help Rogue make the right choices, because in his future, things are a mess, and he has to change things in the past to save the world. No, seriously. (I'm a little discomfited by the end, because it seemed like it was going to go somewhere else and just didn't, but that can be overlooked.)

In the process, they share far more than just the hardships of war." It's really a great story and makes me want to run and find all the Sharpe (and Edrington!) I can get my hands on.

I liked this fic for personal reasons, and I think Katie did a great job in capturing the confusion of someone who isn't quite there anymore.

Xof really did a great job in making Vince the aggressor here, and it makes for a good read.

Brief summary: John finds a quantum mirror somewhere in Atlantis, and stumbles onto a reality where the Genii succeeded in capturing the city. With the help of that reality's Weir and McKay as well as his own, they come up with a plan to reclaim it. The focus of the story is divided fairly equally between John, Elizabeth and Rodney, but there's enough emphasis on Elizabeth that I felt comfortable rec'ing it in this category. And since I don't read non-con as a general rule...this is probably the only thing I've ever read that *fits* this prompt, due the fact that the alternate reality Elizabeth is pretty much being "kept" by Kolya as a sex slave. What he doesn't know is that she's also in a relationship with--and very much in love with--that universe's Rodney McKay, a relationship that has kept them both alive through the worst of their captivity.

The five sections of this story come together to create a cohesive portrait of the group dynamic while they play variations of Murder – you know, the one you played in kindergarten. This story is about so much more than passing the time when you're bored and in a boyband. This is about relationships and friendships and fear of failure and fear of love. JC here has a tenuously steady confidence in himself, but a remarkable confidence in everyone else, and he doesn't want to lose, but it's lovely when he does and it's lovely when he doesn't.
