It's a fabulous introduction to these two characters, and pretty effectively explains why I love this pairing -- the subtext and danger, baby.

Reminder: Last Day to Sign Up!

This is a reminder to everyone that tomorrow, October 31st, is the last day to make a claim (or two) for Round I reccing! If you have been thinking about doing it, or you want to claim another fandom or specificity, you have to do it soon! Also, be sure to tell any friends that you think may be interested so that they don't miss their chance.

Starting November 1st, you can sign up for Round II. Round II begins January 1, 2006. A waitlist (updated and posted in the next day or so) will have all the claims already on it. Feel free to sign up for Round III or IV if someone's ahead of you. It's still first come/first serve, but you can't rec the same thing you did in Round I. Give someone else a chance. :)

The list of claims for Round I will be updated and finalized after claiming ends tomorrow. If I've told you that you can rec your claim, but you don't see your name on the table, don't worry. Go ahead and start posting. Alternately, if you've requested any changes be made to your table, in reference to spelling or pairing classification, etc., that will be fixed as well. Your tables will also be linked then.

I especially love the way that Eroica slowly makes the Major's house more liveable, and how Klaus grudgingly submits to it. This is one of my favorite fanfic stories ever, and I have read a lot of fanfics from a lot of different fandoms. Along with that, the fight in this fic is very believable and raw, and it's almost painful to read. The backstory and the history between them is so strong, and that just emphasizes *everything* about the rest of this fic. It's beautifully written and has a very satisfying conclusion as well.

This is one of those fics where Seth is completely selfless while still being *Seth*, and the way he thinks of Ryan and worries about Ryan is very sweet and subtly romantic while not going overboard.
