In case you're interested I just started posting a post-BDM Inara-centric fic called A Woman's Worth (http://www.livejournal.com/users/femmenerd/38950.html#cutid1) and there's a Mal POV outtake up as well called Rice Wine Reality (http://www.livejournal.com/users/femmenerd/38580.html#cutid1). Heh. From reading my fic, you'd think that Mal is an alcoholic or something. It's a kink, I guess.

And I'm definitely going to check out that first fic you recced. I've been doing a LOT of Inara thinking/research for my fic and I've been especially thinking about how although she doesn't use them very often Inara clearly has fighting skills.
