Title: Bedshaped
Author: [livejournal.com profile] foxxcub
Characters: Jack, Sawyer
Prompt: Futurefic
Rating: NC-17 (just to be safe)
Length: long
Brief summary: This is one of my favorite fics. It's got everything. Angst, hot sex, a wistfullness. Despite it being futurefic both Jack and Sawyer are very much in character and the ending never fails to make me smile.

Characters: Jack, Sawyer
Prompt: Anger
Rating: NC-17

Title: Coming Clean
Author: [livejournal.com profile] alliecat8
Characters: Jack, Sawyer, Michael, Kate
Prompt: Confession
Rating: NC-17
Length: long
Brief summary: It's long and incredibly angsty s2 fic, dealing with the fall-out from the whole raft incident. Sawyer is an utter bastard to Jack and Jack is hurt and then...lo! There is a confession that changes things. It's a lovely story and well worth a read-through or three.

Title: Switched
Author: [livejournal.com profile] merile
Characters: Jack, Sawyer, Kate makes an appearance
Prompt: Crack!Fic
Rating: NC-17
Length: long (but not that long)
Brief summary: It's Crack!Fic but only just. What I like about this fic is the way she has a good grip on the characterisation of both Jack and Sawyer. She writes their dialogue and interaction well and the brief appearance by Kate amuses me. The last little bit of this fic is a killer and it just begs for a sequel.

Brief summary: Friends: yeah, John doesn't have them. This takes place on Earth, between episodes 201 (The Siege, Part III) and 202 (Intruder), and as far as I'm concerned, this IS what happened.

Title: Twilight
Author: [livejournal.com profile] philomel
Characters: Sawyer-centric, mentions of Kate and Jack
Prompt: Loss
Rating: PG-13
Length: short
Brief summary: This is beautifully written and angsty. It's not a loss of any one person, more the loss of what could have been and the writer manages to convey this sense of loss and sadness in a unique and haunting way.

Author: [livejournal.com profile] uberaeryn
Characters: Jack, Sawyer
Prompt: Dark
Rating: R
Length: long
Brief summary: This story will stay with you long after you stop reading it. It's jarring and eerie and downright spooky. Jack is falling apart, the island is targeting him when he's vulnerable and it's up to Sawyer of all people to save Jack from himself.

Title: Postscript
Author: [livejournal.com profile] hkath
Characters: Jack, Sawyer

Claim: "Without a Trace," Jack/Samantha
Title: A Form of Heat That Doesn't Rise
Author: Tahila
Characters: Jack Malone, Samantha Spade, Maria Malone.
Prompt: 40. Confession.
Rating: PG-13.
Length: Medium.

Brief summary: Notable for introducing the fanon/canon notions of Samantha smoking and Samantha being from the Midwest, this story is a beautifully drawn dance -- from the FBI balcony to the car to the bed, and back to Jack's home and life. The characters exchange "secrets" as a sign of intimacy, though they don't address perhaps the biggest secret: their relationship, and what it means to them. The author does a wonderful job of masking the characters' feelings behind their words, their lies -- even up until the final lie Jack tells to his wife to explain his whereabouts the night before.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: Teyla
Title: Push and Pull
Author: Miss Pamela([livejournal.com profile] misspamela)
Characters: Teyla, Ronon
Prompt: 29 - Weapons
Rating: Mature
Length: Short
Brief summary: Stick-fighting with Teyla has become something of a fandom cliché, letting her train with everyone in Atlantis and then some. As she spars, she is strong and powerful, aggressive and attractive. She totally kicks ass. And in fandom, that kind of movement isn't far from sex.

Title: Comfort and Joy
Author: [livejournal.com profile] tanacawyr
Characters: Horatio/Archie
Prompt: 42, Holiday
Rating:
Length: Long, 4416 words
Brief summary: AU but follows canon in everything except the death of Archie Kennedy and the existence of Barbara Wellesley. Captain Kennedy relives his life and Christmases past with his Admiral Hornblower. The ending is so sweet, it’s how Horatio and Archie should end up.

Title: Bright Burning Troy
Author: [livejournal.com profile] misskittie79
Characters: Horatio/Pellew, Archie/Edrington, Horatio/Archie
Prompt: 3, Angst
Rating: “NC-17 for violence, disturbing content, and consensual and non-consensual sex.”
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Horatio is left desolate after Archie’s death and finds himself the subject of Pellew’s attentions. Archie, meanwhile, was smuggled from Kingston, has been branded a mutineer and is staying with Edrington. When Archie and Horatio finally find each other, their reunion is wrought with heartbreak, misunderstanding and frustrating for both. I’ll admit it, I bawled last night reading it and I forwent sleep to finish it.

Title: From the Abyss
Author: [livejournal.com profile] tanacawyr
Characters: Archie/Simpson, allusion to Horatio
Prompt: 10, Fandom Cliche
Rating: NC-17, warning: non-con
Length: Medium, 1571 words
Brief summary: In Hornblower fandom, many people (myself included) see the very real possibility of Archie Kennedy being sexually abused by Jack Simpson, which would account for his complete change in demeanor around Simpson and the occurrence of his seizures. But, there is no real hard evidence of this, which causes this idea to veer a bit into fandom cliché. In From the Abyss, [livejournal.com profile] tanacawyr weaves a very realistic tale of Archie’s abuse under Simpson, how his seizures began, and his feelings towards a new midshipman’s arrival.

Claim:*NSYNC, JC Chasez
Title: The Way We Grow Old

Author: Rhys ([livejournal.com profile] rhyssj and at Experiment V)
Characters: JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Brianna Fatone (note: spelled "Briahna" in real life but "Brianna" in this story)
Prompt: 24. Future fic
Rating: R
Length: long (14,084 words)
Summary: Joey and JC try their hands at a relationship that didn't work in the past and settle into happy domesticity, along with Joey's kid. Set seven years in the future (although it was farther away when it was written). Rhys has many great JCs to choose from, and this story is nominally a Joey story, but I love this particular characterization of JC because it emphasizes the nurturer in him. JC in this story is steadfast and loving, two aspects of his personality that I fully believe in, and they rarely get highlighted in a way that doesn't lapse into full-blown stereotypicality. This JC isn't over-the-top, but is exactly as patient as he needs to be, and he's rewarded at the end with Joey's realization that growing old doesn't mean losing the things you love. And yes, this made me cry a bit. What?!

Title: Easy Come, Easy Go

Author: Helenish ([livejournal.com profile] helenish and at Oh, the humanity)
Characters: JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, Justin Timberlake
Prompt: 26. Death
Rating: R
Length: long (15,935 words)
Summary: Also known as the gangster AU where everybody . . . well, but I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it. Joey's a gangster who owns a nightclub. JC's his bit on the side, the jazz singer at the club. Chris is Joey's contract killer. Lance is Joey's right-hand man. And Justin is Chris's whore. And it all works, it really, really does. There's just enough detail to let you picture it in your head and everyone speaks just as much as they should, and the POV changes are just long enough to slip you inside their heads. There is deep angst and deep love, and JC is a jazz singer in rumpled shirt-sleeves and fraying khakis turned up at the ankle, and he keeps his heart in his throat. If JC lived in this world, this is exactly who JC would be, which is just about as high as praise gets for characterization in AUs.

Characters: Harry, Ginny
Rating: PG

Title: Portraits
Author: Zachere ([livejournal.com profile] zfic)
Characters: Harry, Ginny, Dean Thomas
Rating: PG-13
Length: medium
Brief summary: This is a very nice character study of Ginny, which explores her relationship with Dean Thomas as well as her relationship with Harry. That's an aspect of Ginny's life that I'd love to see more of in fic. It was written pre-HBP, so it's not fully canon-compliant, but it's still well worth reading.

Title: A Tiger by the Tail
Author: [livejournal.com profile] viola_dreamwalk
Characters: Harry, Ginny
Rating: PG-13
Length: short
Brief summary: Harry and Ginny get married, have a baby, and live ever after. This fic is dark and haunting -- I haven't been able to get it out of my head since I read it, and that was a loooong time ago. If you've been thinking that this pairing would work well with darkfic, definitely read this fic. And the next one too.

Claim: Harry Potter, Harry/Ginny

Title: Ink-Stained Plan
Author: [livejournal.com profile] starrysummer
Characters: Harry, Ginny, Tom
Rating: NC-17
Length: short
Brief summary: The blood-black ink flourishes, seduces, and shows her the way. When Harry destroys it, she has to realise her own plan, her own way, yet in those envy-green eyes, she thinks she can find it once again. Nobody writes dark H/G like Robin does. The pairing is so well-suited to darkfic that it is really a crime so little of it gets written. But what there is, is great. Definitely read this fic if you like darkfic, whether or not you like the pairing. It also includes some implied Tom/Ginny.
