Author: [livejournal.com profile] neery
Characters: McKay, Sheppard, Atlantis
Prompt: 45 - Trapped
Rating: NC-17
Length: epic (~15,000 words)
Brief summary: Warning: Non-consenual issues.

Another version of sentient Atlantis. (I have a thing, can you tell?)

Why didn't I pick one of the million "locked in a small space" fics? How about, because so few of them are plausible. This uses a whole different perspective on the word trapped, but it is, to me, the epitome of trapped. (Someone is forcing you to do something and you *can't* tell that it's happening.)

Title: Eclipse
Author: Mijan
Characters: Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy
Prompt: Confession.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Harry's captured by Voldemort; Draco's left to guard him. I love that Draco's decision to rescue Harry is gradual; it makes the whole thing feel more plausible than most fics bother making it. And I love the ending.

Claim: Harry Potter (General Series)
Title: Hogwarts Apprentices I: Gentry Green (WiP)
Author: Lisa Roquin
Characters: Harry Potter/Seamus Finnegan
Prompt: Reccer's Choice
Rating: R
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Part of this story's premise is a cliche: one of Harry's parents (in this case, Lily) was more than met the eye! He therefore inherits awesome power. But this is done really well; for one thing, the power really screws him over, several times. And Harry's reaction to the manipulation in this story is both understandable and really, really fun. And I like that everybody here has flaws, even as they all have virtues. Okay, all of them but Fudge, Voldemort, and most of the Death Eaters have virtues. This story's rough in places, but overall, it's one of my favorites.

Characters: Just about anyone who is/or was part of the sparkly world will probably show up in due time
Prompt: 02 AU
Rating: -
Length: long/epic (10 episodes so far, WIP)
Brief summary: In this series we get to follow Ser Chrisfer and his somewhat irregularly aqcuired squire Lancyn on their mission to make life a little bit safer for everyone, find inns with good food and drink, and continually worry about each other. The stories are mostly independent "adventures" and while some of them are mainly lighthearted fun, others have a much darker feel. Title: Leave This Harbor For the Sea
Author: Otter
Characters: House, Wilson
Prompt: 40.Confession
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: Despite the way it just sort of effortlessly happens in most first-time fics, changing the balance of a long-standing relationship from friendship to beyond is difficult and awkward, especially if you both happen to be the same sex and ostensibly straight. This fic stands out for writing that reality well, without losing flow or brevity.

Prompt: 29 Oops
Rating: -
Length: short/medium
Brief summary: This is one of the sweetest and quietly funny stories I know. Seen through AJ's jaded but kind eyes the courtship of Howie and JC is a joy to watch - from their bonding over pastel dildos, over the "ooops" happenings in the dressing room, to AJ's gigantic sacrifice to smooth the way of the new relationship. The second thread of the story, the snarky banter and the development of something between the equally bored AJ and Lance, is an added bonus to an already delightful tale.

Brief summary: Mmmmm. Wes/Gunn hotness (err.. and mentions of S&M and bondage, so watch out if you’re not into that). Give it a try even if you’re not into that pairing, or rating. Set about mid-S3, Wes and Gunn are already in an established relationship, but they still have a couple to things to learn about one another. I chose this fic for this prompt because the scene with Gunn confessing to Wesley is just priceless. In this fic, RealMitzvah knows just how to tie in the humour with the angst and does it all while keeping the characters perfectly true to themselves. Side note, watch for Cordy’s rant near the end, it’s hilarious.

Length: Over 100 drabbles and ficlets
Brief summary: Okay, I am so cheating on this. The [livejournal.com profile] mckay_sheppard community just hosted a drabble tree -- a drabble tree is where the author of a drabble takes as a prompt a line or phrase from one of the other drabbles that has been posted -- and there is quite a variety to them.
