Claim: "Without a Trace," Jack/Samantha
Title: If At First, At Second
Author: [livejournal.com profile] michellek
Characters: Samantha Spade, Jack Malone, Martin Fitzgerald.
Prompt: 28. Dream.
Rating: R
Length: Short.

Brief summary: An angsty, but very real look inside Samantha's head, as she's faced with the choice of Jack or Martin. The juxtaposition of the one she loves never making her happy and the one who could make her happy is the one she'll never love is particularly insightful. Short, but powerful.

Claim: Good Omens, General Series
Title: "Las Vegas"
Author: [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Characters: Crowley, Aziraphale
Prompt: 04. Fluff.
Rating: NC-17
Length: medium
Brief summary: I think the premise, Crowley and Aziraphale visit Las Vegas, is enough of a recommendation. What could be better? But the fluff and other assorted sweet stuff is stellar. A great little piece of writing.

Title: "Compassion (What They'll Write)"
Author: Lillian, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Characters: Crowley, Jesus
Prompt: 46. Reccer's Choice.
Rating: G
Length: medium
Brief summary: Crowley and Jesus have a battle of wits. Yes, I'm sure this fic could be considered blasphemous. And no, you shouldn't read it if you're easily offended about religion. As for me, I think it's fabulous. Very funny.

Claim: From Eroica With Love
Title: Incontrovertible Evidence
Author: Kadorienne
Characters: Klaus/Eroica
Prompt: 40. Confession
Rating: PG-13
Length: medium
Brief summary: I love stories where someone is forced to admit they're in love, or one someone finds out the truth about the real feelings of someone else. Here we have Klaus's rival, Mischa, capture him and Eroica and inject Klaus with truth serum. The way that Klaus tries to fight off the effects is very realistic. For some reason I find the thought of his speech unconsciously slipping into his native German as incredibly sexy. And of course the pay off comes when Mischa questions his feelings for Eroica while the thief is tied up across from him and listening to every word. Excerpt )

Claim: From Eroica With Love
Title: Cantiques de Noel
Author: BT
Characters: Klaus/Eroica
Prompt: 42. Holiday
Rating: NC-17
Length: long
Brief summary: Klaus has a horrible day, and whether consciously or not, he manages to make it to Eroica's mansion on Christmas Eve. He nearly freezes to death before he's found, and then he's made to join the Christmas festivities. The image of the party is so amazing. It feels like an historical account of a Victorian party (full of homosexuals and debauchery, of course). There's UST and jealousy and almost too much deliciousness to contain in one story. Claim: Lost, Sawyer
Title: "Derelict"
Author: [livejournal.com profile] philomel
Characters: Kate, Sawyer
Prompt: 05, Sex
Rating: NC-17 (and how!)
Length: Medium
Brief summary: [livejournal.com profile] philomel's gorgeous prose and character insight prevent this from being just a PWP. But it's still *plenty* steamy. Sawyer and Kate play cards, which leads to strip poker which leads to incredibly, deliciously hot sex. This made me completely nostalgic for Season 1 Sawyer/Kate banter, which has been sadly lacking in Season 2.

Title: "Reminiscence and Heartache In No Particular Order"
Author: [livejournal.com profile] foxxcub
Characters: Sawyer/Other, Jack/Sarah, Shannon/Boone, Charlie/Claire, Kate/Tom
Prompt: 01, First time
Rating: PG-13
Length: Short
Brief summary: I chose to bypass all the slash fics where Sawyer and Jack (or Sayid or Boone) get together for the first time on the island for this lovely series of vignettes. In the last one, a young Sawyer loses his virginity and we see not only the boy he was but the casually manipulative con man he'll become. The other vignettes are also well worth reading. A lovely piece.
