Without putting Daniel & Janet in a life threatening situation, the author lets us see the characters, relaxed and enjoying themselves. It's a lovely look into a very special moment in thier lives.

The author gets Carson's voice and you can't help but giggle at the way the Guys deal with Daniel, or thier observations during his "reveal".

Why You Should Read It: I didn't care for "Shades of Grey", thus I jumped into
PhoenixE's retelling gladly. The story didn't play out very well on the TV screen for me,
but on the computer screen we can see into the characters thoughts and that makes it so much
better. Almost forgot, this is a slash fic.

wonderfully detailed team-story that deals with politics, action, and of course a bit of
Daniel-whumping for good measure.

Why You Should Read It: When I first started in the SG-1 fandom I thought I saw sparkage between Sam & Daniel. In truth I just loved watching the Science Twins work. The friendship between Sam & Daniel can be so good, and Autumnglory brings that friendship to the forefront. She also brings the sparkage back as well. Now, if you haven't seen Reckoning parts 1 & 2 from Season 8 this story might not make as much sense. But why is this a betrayal & denial story? Denial's easy to see once you start reading, betrayal...well, that's my take on it. Daniel sees the inadvertant invasion of privacy (read the story, it'll make sense) as a betrayal of friendship.

Why You Should Read It: I love Dangermouse's fics. Her portrayal of Jack & Daniel as a long term couple is wonderful. They fight, they make up, they make out, they love each other. Their relationship isn't just about sex (though the sex in the stories is wonderful). Out & About begins the second series in the Coming Out universe. I recommend reading the first series, Coming Out, before you move on to Out & About. All the stories are great. Along the way you'll find humor, angst, h/c, a little light kinkiness, and of course action of all kinds.

You get to see how Daniel & Jack's friendship is strengthened and see some of the differences as well as the similarities to thier friendship & behaivor from before Daniel ascended. It's worth a read!

Why You Should Read It: Once again Moonshayde captures the voices of SG-1 with apparent ease. She gives us a portrayal of Sam that resonates with strength and just a bit of confusion/social awkwardness that fits the plot of the story perfectly. This is one of the best Sam/Daniel friendship stories I've read in a long while. It truly fits with the spirit of Season 7 SG-1.

Why You Should Read It: OK, I love the premise of this fic. It is so subtly manipulative, you quite simply can't tear your eyes away from this one. Moonshayde is an excellent writer and this one is one of her best.

Why you should read it: This story is set mid-Season 2(ish) of Stargate, and Jmas capture's Jack's voice perfectly. He's got a sarcastic sense of humor that shines through but doesn't completely eclipse the concern he has for his people. Jmas also nail's early Daniel's innate curiousity that always and I do mean Always got him into trouble. I used this one for my H/C rec, but as with all fics this one is so much more than just an H/C story. It's also got some great humor and angsting as well as shows the deep respect the members of SG-1 have for thier resident trouble-magnet (that'd be Daniel).

Why you should read it: First a warning, these have just a hint of slash (though if you don't read slash then you really don't notice it. I certainly didn't when I first read them).Second, this is a two for the price of one rec. They go hand in hand and are much funnier read together. Commanding Daniel is a halarious look at the way Col. O'Neill and the other two members of SG-1 see their wayward Archeologist. Daniel's Rebuttal is a wonderful peak into Daniel's fiesty, prickly nature. Daniel is an absolutely wonderful character, and these two fics, are fantasticly funny & give a great deal of insight into Daniel's personality, quirks and all.
