Title: In Dreams
Author: Margo
Characters: Stuart, Vince, Cameron, Hazel, Alex, Nathan
Prompt: 28. Dream
Rating: NC-17
Length: Medium
Brief summary: In and out of dreams. I really liked this story, a set of different POV's in dreams. The entire peace has a very soft and fluid quality to it, just like dreams themselves. I also liked Hazel and Nathan's dreams in particular, as we often don't get to see a lot of their inner thoughts.

A beautifully done story and a lovely bit of S/V love at the end, perfectly plausible dreams for both of them to have.

Title: Gunslingers
Author: Maggie the Cat
Characters: Stuart/Vince
Prompt: 29. Weapons
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: This is a fun one. Stuart, Vince and target practice. For anyone who isn't aware, at the end of the series, the boys had picked up a gun in America. There are a good amount of stories that feature said gun, but this one uses it in a particularly interesting way. I really like

Vince here, all butch and tough and Stuart slightly tense, but still up for it. Brill.

Title: Tricks of the Mind
Author: Katie
Characters: Vince, Stuart
Prompt: 23. Time
Rating: PG
Length: Long
Brief summary: A surprising end to what starts out as a very cute coming together story. I won't spoil the story, but let's just say that Vince's memories are all he has. A bit sad, a bit teary, but a lovely fic. Very poignant ending as well and we even get an appearance from Alfie. I liked this fic for personal reasons, and I think Katie did a great job in capturing the confusion of someone who isn't quite there anymore.

Title: Until Tonight
Author: Xof - [livejournal.com profile] xof1013
Characters: Stuart/Vince
Prompt: 03. Angst
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: Set after the infamous birthday party, Vince shows up unexpectedly, and has a few surprises for Stuart. I really like this fic because it shows the darker side of Vince, which I think we all know he has the potential for. I love how Vince knows *exactly* what Stuart was doing, and has been for a long time. Not an easy read for those who like happy endings, but one hell of a great angst fest. Xof really did a great job in making Vince the aggressor here, and it makes for a good read.

Title: Dark
Author: Paddy
Characters: Stuart
Prompt: 26. Death
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long

Brief summary: This is an intense POV examination of death, told from Stuart's POV. We don't get a lot of Stuart's psyche in the show and it was interesting to see how the author dealt with the death of his father. The fic shows a lot of knowledge and understanding of the cycle of grief, and how we all deal with loss. I especially liked how the author humanized Stuart's father; often fics paint them as unaware and distant from Stuart. However, Paddy let's us peel back the layers of Stuart's feelings here, in a very compelling way.

Title: Of Flesh and Blood
Author: Maria
Characters: Stuart/Vince
Prompt: 14. Loss
Rating: PG
Length: Short
Brief summary: A brief story, but one that struck me. The author writes it clear and concise, providing us with only a glimpse of their pain, but it is certainly enough. The way Stuart handles it (alcohol) and Vince (privately) certainly is indicative of the personalities we see on the show. It's a very touching piece, and even though they are both grief-stricken, you can see that Stuart and Vince are still very much close, even in an established relationship.
