The table is just a way to help organize your recs. Link it at the beginning of each rec post so that anyone interested in checking out your other recs can see it.
Hi! You answered your own question correctly. Yeah, the table is put up to organize the recs.
Here's how this table thing works. You put up the table in your lj. Then you use the table to keep organized. The table is also used to link back to your recs. When you write up your entry to post in this comm, it just needs to include the header info: title, author, little summary, etc. Then you just leave a link at the end of that to your longer rec at your lj.
The recs are written up in your own lj, so no you don't have to make a journal for reccing in this comm. You can if you want, but you probably shouldn't need to do so.
And I beleive that the limit is two recs to a post.
If you need any further clarification, feel free to ask!
Tell me if I have this right: I copy and paste the table information into my LJ. Then, I make a post containing a rec or two for one of the prompts. I take the link to that post and a href it into the table, so when it's done, all of the prompts will be links to recs?
When I post the header information in this comm, is it also a limit to two per post, or can I put more than that if they link to different posts?
I think we're trying to keep the limit of recs per post (here and in your own lj) down to one or two, actually. The way I'm planning on doing this is to make a post in my lj reccing 1 or 2 stories and immediately follow it up with a post to the comm here. That way everything's nice and tidy (you're probably concerned about spamming your lj, but I assure you that I've yet to encounter anyone who'll yell at you because you posted too many times a day. My personal recond is 12.)
And it's no hassle. None at all. If you're still having issues or whatnot, lemme know. (here or if you'd rather, you can just zip over to my lj which I check religiously and leave one there) hope that helped! :)

Date: 2005-10-20 09:21 pm (UTC)The write-up here IS the rec. The link at the end of the rec goes to the story. There's no middle step with a longer written rec on your own comm.
The table then links to the recs you made on this community. I think you've given this whole thing an extra, more complicated step somewhere.
