Brief summary: A simple fic in some senses in that it's title really says it all yes it is about denial and yes it is also about overcoming that denial. What I like is the simply and straightforward way that this fic does it and not only that but it also draws on a very powerful dS episode - Juliet is Bleeding and does well to set the denial after an episode which featured almost a fight. We also get to see the good happy ending of a first time story once the denial has been overcome. Although Ray's denial is the focus it comes from Fraser's POV who doesn't know that Ray is in denial which is a good thing and keeps the plot moving.

Brief summary: Whilst the formatting on this fic does make it hard to read there is something very endearing about this first time fic. It has a simple premise of the fact the guys are trapped but Fraser finds a way out although not before Ray says some things he later wishes he hadn't. Of course he realises his mistake and discovers just what Fraser went through to free them and in doing so realises his own feelings which makes for a nice first time story.
