Bill began to lunge at him before stopping himself and shaking his head. "What's going on, Remus?" he asked, his voice raspy with both question and warning. "Why do I want to fight you so badly?"

Remus sneered. "Because I am the dominant wolf around here, and you want to challenge that."

"I–" Bill paused. "That's ridiculous. We're both wizards, aren't we? We're- friends. I don't want to challenge you." The last line came out as a whisper, and Remus took the opportunity to step forward while Bill's defences were down.

"Do you feel like a wizard right now?" he hissed, his mouth close to Bill's ear. "Do you feel like we're friends?"

Neville will give until it hurts and never ask for anything in return. Harry has known this on at least a subconscious level for as long as he's known Neville. That willingness to please others is one of the things Harry loves most about him. It's also one of the things he finds the most frustrating.
