Still, the story captured me as a type of fan fiction loosely based on my guys, as I could see in them glints of the characters I enjoyed even though they had been translated into a vastly different world.

A world where the core motivations are friendship, jealousy and sexual attraction, with great pacing and dialog that just snaps.

Brief summary: This is a continuation of an abandoned fic where the original piece has made such a buzz, anyone who tried to re-write it is burdened with a high expectation. And Jordan not only answered the challenge but also took the ever cliché Harry must bond with Snape to defeat Voldemort or *insertvariousreasonshere* plot to another level. Three things that made this fic deserves all the praises it has got and some more: believable characterisation, details on the bonding itself (something that most authors forgot to think about), and pace of the writing flowed smoothly, every development they made seemed natural and unforced (no gazing at each other and snap! Twu wuv). If you have the slightest interest with this pairing, then this fic is a MUST read.

This has an even weirder sequel (Spirit Walk). To sum up - sex, shape shifting wolves, sex.

Brief summary: Brilliant use of canonical lines so the dialogue is spot on. It does need anything other than what we have already have in canon. An entire slash conversation purely using show dialogue is very cleverly done and perhaps goes some way to explaining what exactly people find slashy about the show. Whilst it might not be what the writers of the show intended it certainly makes things interesting.

Brief summary: It's really hard to find crossovers featuring this pairing for some reason. This Due SOuth/Fantasy Island crossover, Do Over by Laura Mason, might not be as accurate as some would like but it rewrites the events of Victoria's Secret in a simple yet effective way. The end line is especially poignant. It's also a fixit of sorts although Fantasy Island chracters don't appear much, the focus is on Ray Vecchio and Benton Fraser.

I know an accepting Vecchio family is probably unrealistic but this is a lovely ER fic, which is nice for a change. It also gives the many characters of Ray's family a chance to shine building on what little we actually see of them in the series it gives them a life of their own.
