My Sheppard/McKay rec50 table.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: John Sheppard/Rodney McKay
Title: a blue true dream of sky
Author: isilya ([livejournal.com profile] isilya)
Characters: McKay, Sheppard, Ronon, Teyla
Prompt: 02 - AU
Rating: Mature
Length: Long
Brief summary: To me, the Harlequin challenge on sga_flashfic produced some amazing stories, romances with plots and interesting characterizations influenced both by canon and by the worlds the authors created. In this contemporary-feeling story, the world is a variation on the modern Australian outback, where Wraith is is a deadly mystery, a virus that reoccurs periodically and turns lush farmland into a toxic desert, destroying it utterly. In this story, John is a desperate rancher trying to get his cattle to market while Rodney is an agricultural researcher who demands that John take him on the cattle drive, as he is intent on figuring out how Wraith spreads so he can eradicate it. Personalities clash, there's action, danger and suspense in the wild outdoors.

And there's love.

Snape/Harry table, yay!

Claim: Harry Potter, Snape/Harry
Title: Utterly Mundane
Author: Caesia
Characters: Harry, Snape

Claim: Harry Potter, Snape/Harry
Title: A Solitary Pleasure
Author: Luthien
Characters: Harry, Snape
Prompt: Secrets
Rating: PG
Length: Long (7,500+)
Brief summary: A clever and funny fic where everyone in Hogwarts spends half of their time guessing what exactly is Snape doing in his quarters and the other half to speculate about the relationship between him and his, er, roommate. And Harry is not helping anyone.

My table

Claim: The X-Files: General Series
Title: Shadow Wife
Author: Rachel Anton
Characters: John Doggett/Marita Covarrubias
Prompt: 42. Holiday
Rating: NC-17
Length: three chapters
Brief Summary: John Doggett catches a beautiful woman breaking into his house on New Year's Eve, a woman who knows way more about him than he's comfortable with, but some instinct makes him trust her anyway. It's a pairing that, to my knowledge, no one else ever even dared, but Rachel made it work because her character's voices never faltered for a second.

Claim: The X-Files: General Series
Title: Elevator Shoes
Author: Kristen K2
Characters: Fox Mulder, Kim Cook, Walter Skinner (Mulder/Scully and Kim/? implied)
Prompt: 45. Trapped
Rating: PG-13
Length: longish one-parter
Brief Summary: Mulder finds himself trapped in the Hoover Building elevator during a thunderstorm black-out with Skinner's secretary, Kim, who teaches him a few things about women, signals and footwear. While most fans of the show--like most of the people in the Hoover Building--probably never noticed the red-haired secretary outside Skinner's office, played by Gillian's stand-in and Mitch's wife, Arlene Pileggi, Kristen took the character under her wing and wrote quite a bit of fanfic about her. This piece is probably her best known, and with good reason--Kim makes an impression in it not only on Mulder, but also the reader. :-)

My due South rec table is here

Claim: due South, Fraser/Kowalski
Title: Iqaqpaa
Author: Nemi, on [livejournal.com profile] octoberxsong
Characters: Fraser, Kowalski, Stella, Welsh, etc.
Prompt: 09. Hurt/Comfort
Rating: NC-17
Length: long
Brief summary: I read this story a long time ago, right when I first started reading due South. When I was thinking about entries for this challenge, I remembered this story and read it again, and was reminded of how much I like it. Ray gets hit in the head in the process of a case and as a result, Ray has amnesia. While this may seem cheesy or cliched, Nemi tells the story of Ray's memory loss and his relationship with Fraser that Fraser carefully hides away, interspersed with flashbacks of their prior friendship and relationship, in such a lovely way that you don't really think about the amnesia part, but the pain on not knowing who you are. Fraser not wanting to assume that the "new" Ray would want their romantic relationship again, and hiding all the pieces, it just breaks my heart. It is hopeful in the end, and Ray and Fraser start moving toward a new relationship, and pick up some of the pieces of their former one.

My Brian Kinney Table

Claim: Queer as Folk: Brian Kinney
Title: Encompassed
Author: Xof
Characters: Brian Kinney, Michael Novotny
Prompt: 25. Kink
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long (83848 words)
Brief summary: Absolutely gorgeous, sweltering hot look into the psychology of a Dom/sub relationship between Brian and Michael. It explores some really interesting kink without heading too far for it to be palatable. Xof's one of the best writers in QAF(UK and US) and is worth a read on pure ability alone. But the story is actually really well thought out, well written, and well paced. I loved it and I'm not into kink. Also, two of the most delightful originals that I almost used this fic for the original character prompt. But it fits much more neatly into kink so here it is.

Title: Mistletoe Kisses
Author: Danielle
Characters: Brian Kinney, Michael Novotny
Prompt: 42. Holiday
Rating: NC-17
Length: Medium(7038 words)
Brief summary: Danielle is one of my favorite writers(I have many favorites) and she seems to love writing Christmas fic. She's got several christmas stories at Always, all of them stellar, but this is my favorite. Maybe because of the setting, in S1, maybe because of I read it first, maybe its the way its written, the way things get resolved. I dont know. I do know that it's lovely and very pretty and leaves me with nice Christmas warm fuzzies that even a devout Jew such as myself can enjoy. Plus, the sex is scorching.
