My Sheppard/McKay rec50 table.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: John Sheppard/Rodney McKay
Title: Icelus
Author: eretria ([livejournal.com profile] eretria)
Characters: McKay, Sheppard, Beckett, Weir, others
Prompt: 03 - Angst
Rating: Mature
Length: Epic
Brief summary: This story is an AU, starting from the end of season one, where Sheppard wasn't rescued by the Daedalus. Rodney blames himself for Sheppard's death in that if he could have modified the control chair to use as a remote for the jumpers in time, Sheppard would never have died. He's depressed and irritable, lashing out at others, and is apparently addicted to the stimulants Beckett injected him with during the siege. For his own good, Beckett has him sent to the mainland on mandatory medical leave -- a chance to recover, to work through some of his guilt and grief.

Only -- Rodney dreams.

Lush imagery, solid characterization, and sharp emotional intensity, this story keeps everything under a tight reign, and tiny details mean big things. There is a prequel short, Hypnos and Phobetor which is in Elizabeth's POV and sets up the initial AU version of the world.

My due South F/K table

Claim: due South, Fraser/Kowalski
Title: Half a Chance
Author: brooklinegirl, on LJ [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl
Characters: Fraser, Kowalski, most of the rest of the gang
Prompt: 13. Established Relationship
Rating: NC-17
Length: medium
Brief summary: This is my favorite due South fic, hands down. I can’t even really put my finger on why this does it for me, but it really does. I love that it’s not a first time fic, because a large number of due South fics are, even though I love all of those. Ray is back in Chicago and Fraser is in Canada after COTW, and they are making do with short visits every month or two, and it is absolutely killing them. I appreciate the reality of this story, and how Fraser finally takes control of the situation, in his way. Oh, and the sex isn’t half bad either. *g*

Title: Five Confessions
Author: Kindkit, on LJ [livejournal.com profile] kindkit
Characters: Fraser, Kowalski, Stella, OMC
Prompt: 32. Secrets
Rating: NC-17
Length: medium
Brief summary: Another Fraser in Canada and Ray in Chicago doing the long distance thing fic. Except Ray cheats with a guy at a bar, and tries to come clean with a number of people, including Stella and a priest, before deciding what to tell Fraser. I won’t tell you what he decides, because it ruins the end, but I think that it is so painfully realistic for anyone who’s ever dealt with infidelity or thought about what they would do if their partner cheated, and this story doesn’t take the easy way out. And the sex…absolutely hot and heartbreaking.

My Table

Claim: Full Metal alchemist - Roy x Edward
Title: "Surrogate"
Author: [livejournal.com profile] wicked_pistil
Characters: Roy and Edward
Prompt: 03. angst
Rating: NC-17
Length: Medium
Brief Summary: This particular fic has quite a few spoilers and deals with some nifty flashbacks. Ok I love Roy/Ed , I'll be honestly.^^;; I simply loved the interaction between Roy and Ed. Ed is needy almost desperate but not so that he is horriblible out of character and Roy is being his angsty self. What really hits me is that Roy is really concerned about using Ed but I really think Ed is using Roy.

"We've got each other covered, right? We won't let each other down?" Edward asked as he raised and lowered himself

My F/V Table

Claim: Due South, Fraser/Vecchio
Title: Nesting
Author: Acer canadensis
Characters: Benton Fraser/Ray Vecchio, the rest of the Vecchio family, Father Malone
Prompt: 01 First Time
Rating: PG-13/R
Length: Long
Brief summary: Unlike a lot of first times this takes things slowly and shows how they come together step by step in a way you could see happening in the show itself. And it tackles not only a first time but also family reactions and the idea of living together. It's bitterweeet in parts but still has an overall happy tone.

Title: Siren's song
Author: Manna La Droit
Characters: Ben/Ray Vecchio, Eeek, McMorrant, bait shop owner, crowd.
Prompt: 02 AU
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
Brief summary: A gentle AU that takes part of mermaid folklore and gives it a twist that makes perfect sense for an AU based on DS canon, even down to the setting and Eeek. It has a good sequel (Siren's Second Verse) too but stands well on it's own.

My Qui/Obi Table

Claim: Star Wars Prequels: Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan
Title: The Death Trap Test

Author: Augusta Pembrooke
Characters: Qui, Obi, and the Council (mostly Mace, Yoda, and Adi)
Prompt: 45. Trapped
Rating: NC-17
Length: Medium, 38k
Brief summary: Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan have an unexpected reaction to a test. This is one of my favorites in the fandom. It's a product of the "I don't want to die a virgin" challenge, and in fitting with that theme, it's funny, with slightly over-the-top dialog and a first time. The real charm of this fic, however, lies in the reactions of the various Jedi Council members forced to watch Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan complete the test. My only warning for the story is this: Obi-Wan is on the young side. His age is never said, but he comes across as a bit younger then 18.

Claim: CSI, David Hodges
Title: Five Reasons
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sarcasticsra
Characters: David Hodges, Nick Stokes
Prompt: Love
Rating: PG
Length: medium
Brief summary: David lists the five reasons why he is not in love with Nick. Of course, we all know better, and the author has a beautiful way with words and does an excellent job expanding on the character traits we see on the show. Lovely fluff with a side of sweetness.

My Brian Kinney Table

Claim: Queer as Folk: Brian Kinney
Title: Questions
Author: Em
Characters: Brian Kinney, Michael Novotny, Debbie Novotny, Ted Schmidt, Emmett Honeycutt, Justin Taylor, Vic Grassi, Ethan Gold, Ben Bruckner, Lindsey Peterson
Prompt: 16. Teamwork
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long (40156 words)
Brief summary: Everybody sticks their noses where they dont belong. Its an ensamble mess of curios sneaking and private-eying. I chose this for teamwork cause the characters are all up in each others business, and proving that there is so an I in team. Its a lovely story, one I love to read and reread. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Its really a fun one to take.

Title: Giving Up Control
Author: Sanity Dreamer
Characters: Brian Kinney, Michael Novotny, Justin Taylor
Prompt: 44. Mask
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long(19760 words)
Brief summary: Ok, its a little bit of a stretch but this is one of my favorite smutlets and I had to use it for something. Mask seems to fit as the premise is that Brian has the best sex of his life with a total stranger, or so he thinks. I'm putting it under mask we have dramatic irony of knowing who Brian's mystery fuck is while he has to figure out the identity of the man for himself. So really its the lover who wears the "mask". Its flat out fun, is what it is. A playful romp with a dollop of angst, a scoop of humor, and a triple order of hotness. Its not a sweeping epic, but I enjoy the hell out of it every time I read it.
