The author sets such a mood, with the night evoking rememberances of happier times, contrasted with Jack's Catholic guilt -- complete with funereal Latin dirges, and reliving Samantha's last moments. It's a beautiful, but painful hymn to the relationship that was, is and will never be again -- metaphorically or literally.

In this story Justin is a new member of The Order and has trained to hunt vampires. He stumbles upon the story of JC, one of the oldest and most wanted vampires. Justin chases after JC, but JC justs tempts him...and you know how that goes. This fic totally ate my brain - in a good way. I love this story. Beth and Kaelie put together a wonderful world where this story takes place. Not only are the characters well developed and emotional (the sex is hot, too), but the other three members of NSYNC play important roles in the story. Go read!

Nick and Lance has been together for almost a year, but Lance is still very much fucked-up by his former relationship with Joey, and Joey's jelousy and Justin's anger that Lance has "abandoned" Nsync does not make things easier. This is a classic Mercutio & Kate story, with brokenness and healing, happiness and disillusion, good characterisations and great dialogue.
