Brief summary: Samantha goes home with Martin, but it's more difficult to stop thinking about Jack than she thought. The author makes Samantha's total unhappiness with this whole situation almost palpable. I like how Samantha is concerned about her friendship with Martin, which is how I've always seen that relationship. She seemed to sleep with Martin in direct response to Jack's leaving, and this story perfectly captures all of Samantha's mixed emotions, regrets and uncertainties about why it happened and what it might mean.
