Brief summary: Everyone in the cursed kingdom of Camelot is gay. No, really. This is delightfully hilarious and campy. The first time I read it, I lost it somewhere in the second scene, and kept chuckling all the way through to the end.

Living with Gaius is perfectly fine, fun even, especially once Merlin manages to enter deep denial over the fact Gaius spends his nights off as his alter ego, Lady Griselda, who appears to have an affinity for ruffled dresses in granny undies-pink and magenta and some truly hideous wigs.

On the subject of ladies, the Lady Morgana is fabulous and a fantastic mistress. Merlin spends half his working hours bitching about Arthur; she doesn't mind. Besides, they have the same complexion and hair and eye colour, which means Morgana can dress him to match her garments and they can both look good. And she dismisses Merlin most evenings to spend time with Gwen, Arthur’s maid.

Merlin thinks Gwen’s totally awesome and doesn't even hate her a little for undressing Arthur twice a day. The view's totally lost on her, anyway.
