Brief summary: Guess what these two short stories are about? That's right, about different moments in the lads' life, that are, to me, the embodiment of love... They are beautifully written, sound real, go quite well with the canon and there is one particular moment I could actually see happening after the episode is over and it's my favorite and I think everyone can find their favorite moment among the offered.
When Bodie left the hospital with the black nurse on his arm, he was proving a point. He remembers her dark skin lying on top of his in the light from the bedside lamp and he remembers the clinical way that he watched her sleep, filing the experience away as necessity. He owed her that much and he knew that Jax would tell the boys and that soon the news would reach Cowley. He remembers feeling nothing as he smiled and saw her out and went to wash the smell of her away.
He remembers kneeling in the bath, every movement of over-exerted muscles slow and painful as he tried not to get his stitches wet. He remembers the sudden presence of cool lips on the back of his neck. He remembers the firm strokes of the wash cloth rubbing his delicate skin. And he remembers Doyle depositing him in bed. In the bed that had been freshly changed with clean sheets. He remembers the wordlessness of it all and he wonders now if he will ever feel content without Doyle again.
