Rating: G
Length: Medium
Brief summary: Shannon and Sun discuss their fellow survivors. I'm a sucker for friendship stories between the girls anyway, and this one is lovely, full of Shannon's special brand of snark and unexpected bonding.
Excerpt: “They rub each other the wrong way,” she sighed.
Shannon chuckled at Sun’s choice of words.
“You know, ever since we got stuck on this stupid island I’ve thought all their fighting was just show, to make us think they hate each other. I think they’re screwing when Sawyer goes off into the jungle. They probably meet up and bang,”
“That’s a … interesting theory,” Sun smiled.
“Next time Sawyer goes for ‘a walk’ we should follow him. I bet he’ll be so sex-crazed that he wouldn’t even notice us if we were walking right behind him,”
“I think part of it is to give all of us something to watch. What’s that show Americans watch? Where everyone fights, the talk show?”
“Jerry Springer?”
“Yes! Our very own Jerry Springer show.”

Title: Every Lost Writer Hates Shannon
Author:

Rating: PG
Length: Long
Brief summary: A series of ficlets covering Shannon's part in the events of Everybody Hates Hurley. Poignant and quiet and with a perfect Shannon voice.
Excerpt: Shannon startled at the idea of empathy. That couldn't be true. Sun couldn't feel what Shannon felt. It would mean Sun had lied to Jin, used Jin. It would mean that Sun hadn't realized, until it was too late for apologizes, that she was sorry.
It couldn't be true, because Sun had fixed things with Jin. Everyone saw them make out on the beach before Jin boarded the raft.
But Shannon knew better than anyone that kisses never fixed anything.
She knew that a kiss could be the biggest lie of all.
How many secrets had Sun kept? What lies had she told?
Maybe Sun put a note in the bottle, addressed to Jin's mother, that said, "Jin deserved to live. Not me."
