Brief summary: It seems as though Elizabeth is often more of a prop than a character at times. Eretria marries those two worlds brilliantly in this piece, with a feisty Elizabeth who takes matters into her own hands where Sheppard and Caldwell are concerned. I didn't think I'd buy this version of Elizabeth, but I think it's surprisingly easy to do. This is the Elizabeth I'd like to see.
Excerpt: She can see the battle in him, the wish to lash out, the shock and disgust at being dressed down that way by a civilian woman in front of a lower-ranking officer.
"Thank you, Doctor," is all he says in an even voice before he leaves her office in long, effective strides.

There's an interesting power reversal and some great characterization packaged as hot porn. Who's not going to buy?
