Brief summary: I liked this fic for the loss prompt because there is so much loss in it. Julie's loss of faith in Wilson, loss of love, loss of hope. Then Wilson's loss of his wife, loss of yet another relationship. Sad and very much the way I have to imagine Julie's story would have played out in canon, had it been shown to us.

Brief summary: Pre-series is always interesting for me, and this fic particularly so. Looking at the time when House was hiring his team, and what drew him to each of them. Great insights into the characters, and fantastic dialogue.


House leaned forward, resting his arms on his desk. "And you want to work for me because you think I'm going to impart all my wisdom. Be a mentor to you."

"You don't have to teach me crap," Chase said. "But I'll learn from watching regardless."
