Title: The Geek’s Guide to Military Vessels
Author:
likethekoschka
Characters: Sheppard, McKay, Caldwell, with a special appearance by Hermiod. In boxer shorts.
Prompt: 13: Established Relationship
Rating: PG-13
Length: Epic
Brief summary: This is actually the 6th in a series of 8 fics (so far), and probably... ok, scratch that, definitely my favorite EstRel fic out there. The relationship between the guys is full of love, even without the L word being exchanged. The writing is beautiful and so very (VERY) funny, and there is that horrible moment, near the end, when you think "Well, it's been a hell of a ride. Nice knowing you, Guide Series", but as I said at the beginning, it's been 8 fics, so far...

Title: Hold Hands and Try To Look Sincere
Author:
minervacat
Characters: McKay, Sheppard, Ford, Teyla, with alien telemarketers as special guest stars.
Prompt: 43: Denial
Rating: NC-17
Length: Epic
Brief summary: Denial is not just a river in Egypt, it also what holds this fic together. Rodneys' denial, to be precise. Like the author says, aliens make them do it (except when they don't). It's beautiful, and funny and delicious, and who can resist alien flowers, anyway?

“Happy place, my ass,” he muttered, hands moving to my shirt. “Being Jabba’s psychotic snot monkey on a chain would be a happy place in comparison right now.” Yanking my shirt out of my pants and up, he looked at my chest and swallowed. “I knew they hadn’t, but….” He touched fingers to my unmarred chest, then pressed his palm flat over my heart.
“I’m okay, Rodney,” I said softly. “I’m okay.”
He swallowed again, squared his shoulders and dropped his hand. “Of course you’re all right. Who would eat you? A Wraith on Jenny Craig? There can’t be much life-force in your scrawny frame. Now me…I could feed a life-sucking family of five for….” I cut him off with a kiss. With hand cupped behind his head, it was of necessity short, but it was warm and real and no avalanche of snow, no Wraith cocoon could stand up next to that.

Rodney made a disgusted noise against John's throat and tossed the book halfway across the room, almost taking John's fingers with it. "Hey," John said, stroking a hand up underneath Rodney's shirt. "Hey, come on, slow down."
Rodney popped the button on John's pants and started edging the zipper down. He heaved himself up onto one elbow, staring down at John with a lust-crazed expression, his mouth swollen and infinitely kissable. "Slow down? Who knows how long these effects will last? We have to make the most of it, Major."
