My prompt table/list.
Claim: Nsync: Chris/Lance
Title: A Girl and His Dog
Author: Jessi Albano, at Sulatkamay and
lisan
Characters: Nsync, Busta, Kelly, Bev, Ron, Lily, Sita
Prompt: 26 Death
Rating: -
Length: medium/long
Brief summary: An on-tour story (Celebrity) and a ghost story. This is a great story, full of tension and sadness and love, and with a wonderful, stubborn Lance. And Busta has a very important role to play and isn't just a cute accessory, something I don't think I've come across before.
He is surprised to see the girl again, later, as he walks from his bus to Joey's to call him for breakfast. He's almost happy to see her again, he's been thinking of her constantly. He had been thinking of going back to the concert hall with his aunt once the tour was over, just to see if they could find out who she was, who she had been.
He's heard enough of Aunt Connie's stories to know that while most ghosts were tied to places, a few chose to attach themselves to people.
Someone, it seems, is being haunted.
In San Francisco, he catches a glimpse of her hiding under the snacks table, then again hovering behind the sofa as Joey freaks out while talking to Kelly on the telephone. Kelly and Bree had been involved in an almost-accident and, while everything had turned out fine, they're still all shaken by what could have been. The girl clings to her doll, as if she is also upset. When Chris comes in and sits beside them to add his own assurances, Lance watches with growing alarm as the girl walks around the sofa to stand in front of Chris and Joey, then climbs onto Chris lap and lays her head on his shoulder.
Everybody knows you can't touch a ghost.
But, Lance now learns, a ghost can touch you.

Title: Magical Realism
Author: Author: Arsenic Jade, at every rose has a thorn and
arsenicjade
Characters: Nsync, BSB, sundry Hogwarts characters
Prompt: 32 Secrets
Rating: PG-13
Length: long
Brief summary: This is a long and serious story about Chris and Lance's secret relationship during some of the most difficult years of the wizarding world. It is one of the best popslash/Harry Potter AUs written. The sparkly boys fits seamlessly into the Potter universe, being simultaneously themselves and perfectly "ordinary" Hogwarts' students.
Lance throws up his house allegiance as a last line of defense whenever Chris is getting far too close to things that he dislikes about himself. It's generally a good sign that if Chris just waits, he'll have an ally in his latest pursuit. What Chris loves most about Lance is that, at heart, he knows the same scale of right and wrong that Chris does. He's just been trained not to admit to it.
Honestly, Chris tells him, "Of course I care more about keeping you safe than Weasley's peace of mind."
Lance glares at him.
"I'm sorry I asked."
Lance holds the glare for a few seconds longer before backing down. "What the bloody hell is a nice boy like you doing in a place like this?"
They're in the prefects' bathroom because Lance is a prefect, and it's an easy place to escape notice late at night. Lance is really asking what Chris is doing there with him. Over a year and a half together, and Lance still thinks Chris should hold out for someone with better moral character. Chris knows Lance will end up holding out for someone with better pedigree.
Chris kisses him. "Couldn't resist the company."
