My prompt table/list.
Claim: Nsync: Chris/Lance
Title: Stupid Mouth
Author: Clueless, at Resistance Is Futile and
lilac_one
Characters: Nsync, Dani, Michelle, Laura, sundry bodyguards, stage hands, and Walmart clerks
Prompt: 08 Friendship
Rating: -
Length: medium
Brief summary: Chris' mouth always gets him into trouble and none of his relationships work out, but the guys are always there, the best friends anyone could have. This is mainly a story about that friendship, about having fun together, but in an unobtrusive and understated way it also raises the question, 'What really is the difference between "mere" friendship and a relationship?' The story itself is mostly lighthearted fun, but that is not everything it is.
Chris sees Joey tangoing with a woman, presumably their waitress, if the tray pressed against Joey's back is any indication. They don't seem to be moving in the direction of their table, much to Chris' chagrin. He's sitting down, thirsty, and lazy. He's not really in the mood to work his way through the crowd to the bar. He sits there morosely, contemplating the energy expenditure required to get a drink, when Lance and Justin appear, Joey right behind them.
Joey scoots in across from JC and Chris, Justin following. Chris knows how much Justin missed Lance and Joey while they were gone, and although he loves having Justin as his best friend, he's kind of relieved that Justin will be following Joey around and blathering out his anxiety about the new album to him instead of Chris for a while.
Lance isn't empty-handed. He tosses a water bottle to JC and sets one in front of Chris. "No dumping it on each other this time," he admonishes.
"You sound just like Stacy, man. It's scary." Chris says, gratefully twisting off the cap and draining the bottle in one go.
Lance smiles, the waitress, whom Joey had actually brought back with him, takes their orders, and they all settle in to hear Lance's and Joey's tales of Toronto.
Chris ignores how Lance's thigh feels pressed hard against his, crammed in as they are in a booth really only meant for two people, instead focusing on how lucky he his to have his posse of brothers back together.

Title: Coffee
Author: Cappuccino, at Fluff On Top and
fluffontop
Characters: Chris, Lance, sundry cashiers
Prompt: 11 Character Study
Rating: sex
Length: medium
Brief summary: It's the time of the lawsuit and Chris and Lance are exhausted, having been looking at papers the whole night, when Lance suddenly asks Chris to run away with him. And they do. Climb out of a window and walk away wondering for how long they'll be able to escape. What follows is probably both one of the best and, for some reason, least talked about Trickyfish story ever written. While we follow them on their meanderings through a harshly sunny Orlando and see how their relationship develops in the here-and-now, we get flashbacks of how their interactions have changed and developed since the start of the group. It's a wonderful story that deserves to be more widely read. Oh yes, and Lance has one of his best and most evil ideas ever!
Lance pulled him by his shirt down a side street, and Chris laughed the whole way. He finally dug his heels in and demanded that they stop, because he couldn't catch his breath, but had been worth it. "Man, that was fun. You are a star with your ideas." He took Lance's face between his hands and kissed him noisily on the nose.
Lance took a step back. "That was dangerous," he said. "We could get arrested."
"What, for a little kiss on the nose."
"Wha- no." Lance looked confused, and Chris decided it wasn't fun to play headgames with him when he was this tired.
"Look, Lance, we crept out of a window. We are going to be in so much shit no matter what we do at this point."
They looked at each other for a while. Lance took a shaky step back and sank down onto the pavement. He leaned his head in his hands. "I feel weird."
Chris noticed that Lance's hands clasped over his face seemed to be twitching and jerking slightly. He looked down on to his own hands and felt it too. It must be the coffee, he thought, and fisted them. "You're just tired."
