Musings in the Dark; Possession
My big table.
Claim: Tolkien verse (novels) : General Series
Prompt: 19. Dark.
Title: Musings in the Dark
Author: Carole
Characters: Aragorn/Denethor, Aragorn/Arwen, Aragorn/Boromir
Rating: NC-17
Length: medium
Brief summary: A very different take on Aragorn. It's a good read because it sways beyond Tolkien's heroic idealism and gives a very different, highly political and calculistic version of the events. Yet, I don't feel it would offend a Tolkien fan. What she has done with him reminds me of what Marion Zimmer Bradley did to the Arturian Cycle: twisted, turned and made it perfecly verisimilar. Archived in the Library of Moria.
Claim: Tolkien verse (novels) : General Series
Prompt: 20. Non-Con.
Title: Possession
Author: Jinniyah
Characters: Elrond/Isildur; Elrond/Gil-galad mentioned
Rating: NC-17
Length: Short
Brief summary: This is a chilling tale of lust and hunger told by the rapist. Archived in King and Herald.
