Title: Summer Days A-Berrying
Author: Deirdre, at Infinite Passions and [livejournal.com profile] pierson
Characters: Nick, Kevin
Prompt: 01 First Time
Rating: explicit sex
Length: medium
Brief summary: A first-time story featuring Nick and Kevin, but a Nick and Kevin of another time, another place, dallying among the berry bushes. This is an incredibly sensual and hot story and for a while I thought of using it for the Sex prompt, but it also has a sense of freshness and innocence that makes it a wonderful first-time story.

Kevin deepens the kiss, sliding his tongue over and around Nick's at first languidly, then with more intent, slipping over every surface he can reach, stroking, tasting, sampling, and Nick thinks, 'yes, oh yes.'

He doesn't want to stop kissing, not even when his chest grows heavy and his head spins with the lack of enough air. But Kevin brings up a hand and pushes him back, and Nick gasps for breath even as his fingers tangle in Kevin's sleeves to pull him closer again. His mouth tingles hotly, his lips feel swollen, and he wants to kiss Kevin more, because this is good, so much better than when he kissed Mandy. Kevin kisses with assurance, with skill, and Nick wants to experience everything that Kevin will show him.

"Please," he says on a gasp, his voice high and breathy. "Don't stop."

Kevin makes a soft crooning sound, like he'd make to calm a nervous colt. His big hand spreads on Nick's chest, warm and strong, some fingers slipping inside his shirt to touch bare skin, and Nick wants more of that. He presses himself closer, but Kevin's stronger than he is, and holds him off easily.

"Nick," he says, and Nick likes the way Kevin says his name, deep and slow. He tears his gaze from Kevin's mouth, looks up into his eyes. Heat, and desire, and oh yes, Kevin looks at him in the new way, and he likes it. "What do you want?"

"Everything." The word tumbles from his lips, and he'd be embarrassed at the way his voice trembles, the way his body quivers, but he can't think beyond the clamor of his body, the tumultuous rush of blood, the way his hips want to move. "Show me everything."

Kevin smiles. "Everything is a very big request," he says. His forefinger smooths along the notch between his collarbones, and even that small caress makes Nick yearn for more. "I won't give you everything, but I'll give you something to remember."

Title: The Center
Author: Lucy, [livejournal.com profile] lucy_fic
Characters: Just about everyone who was anything in the pop world c. 2000
Prompt: 02 AU
Rating: sex
Length: epic (Book 1: 83 chapters. Book 2: 14 chapters, unfinished)
Brief summary: Welcome to The Center (aka The Walt Whitman Center for Pervy Boy-Fanciers - what did you expect from a place named by Chris Kirkpatrick :-) the local gay drop-in spot in an unnamed northwestern city. It is here that they all meet, and this is the story about them all, it is their activities and relationships - familiar, romantic, friendly, platonic, and everything else you can imagine - that make up the backbone of the story. It's not a story with grand dramatic gestures or OTT emotions, and that is what I love so much about it. These snapshots of everyday life feels incredibly real, no one in the huge cast is ever neglected for long, and Lucy manages to make everyone engaging and 'real'. An enormously satisfying read.

"Howie, is this straight enough?" Aaron was at the top of the ladder, holding up one end of the paper streamers he was helping to hang.

"Kid, you are so asking the wrong person about how straight something is," Chris said, laughing.

Howie shoved him. "Shut up. Like you're one to talk, shorty."

"Okay, seriously, Dorough, pot and kettle time, here," Chris retorted. "And I am way taller than you are."

"Are not."

"Am too!"

Aaron rolled his eyes. "Come on, guys. I just want to get off this ladder before the dance is over."

"Sorry," Howie said, still laughing as Chris took playful mock-punches at him. "It's fine, Aaron. You can come down."

"Finally," Aaron said, sliding down the ladder.

"You okay, kiddo?" Howie asked him, rubbing his head and mussing up his hair. "You've been in a mood all week."

"Grumpy-pants," Chris said, mock shadow-boxing at Aaron now.

"I'm alright," Aaron shrugged. "I just wish winter was over, I guess. It's depressing to get up for school every morning and see the same old rain all the time."

"You think you've got it bad here?" Chris said. "You should try being in New York in February. At least we don't have any snow left to shovel."

"Yeah, but if I was in Florida, it would be sunny and warm and I could go out fishing and stuff," Aaron said.

"You like fishing?" Howie asked.

"I love it," Aaron said, enthusaistically. "My uncle Steve? He's got this really awesome boat, and he takes me out on it fishing with him sometimes, and -"

Aaron's story was interrupted by a loud crash from just behind them. The entire gym went quiet, and they turned around to find that Nick had dropped an entire box of cds, which were now scattered around everywhere on the floor. JC and Lance, who had been helping him bring the sound equipment in from JC's car, were both standing there, stunned.

"Geez, Nick," Chris said, "way to give me a heart attack -"

Nick had walked over and grabbed on to Aaron's wrists with both hands. "You went fishing with Uncle Steve?" he asked.

"Yeah, lots of times," Aaron said, wincing. "Ow, Nick, let go, you're hurting me -"

Nick ignored him. "By yourself? Did you go with him by yourself?"

"No," Aaron said. "Dad always went with me, and sometimes Angel came with us, too. Why? What's wrong? Nick -"

"Are you lying to me?" Nick asked. "Aaron, tell me the truth!" He was holding on to Aaron's wrists so tightly that his hands were turning purple, and Aaron had tears in his eyes from the pain and from Nick shouting at him.

"I am telling the truth," Aaron said, trying unsuccessfully to pull away. "Of course I wouldn't lie to you! Nick, you're really hurting me!"

"Never, ever go anywhere alone with him, do you hear me?" Nick said, shaking him. "Do you understand?"

"Yes, I promise, I promise I won't," Aaron said. He was openly crying, now. "Nick, please stop it. I won't do it."

"Nick," JC said. "You're hurting him."

Finally, Nick blinked, and let go of Aaron. He mumbled an "I'm sorry" and ran out the back door of the gym, which had been propped open. JC went after him, followed shortly by AJ.
