Manifest Destiny, Misterious Ways

My big Choey Table

Claim: *N Sync: Chris/Joey
Title: Manifest Destiny
Author: [livejournal.com profile] giogio
Characters: Chris, Joey, Lance, Justin, JC,
Prompt: 43. Denial
Rating: Mature / R
Length: Medium
Brief summary: Maybe it is because Joey is Italian, but there's this constant theme of him being really religious. In Manifest Destiny, Giogio grabs that idea and runs with it in one of the most touching versions I've ever read of a Joey totally in denial. Also, one of the most fun dominant!Lance I've ever seen.
"You're forgetting the first rule of being a practicing homosexual, Chris," Lance said completely and utterly composed, "you never ever out anyone else, not even to themselves."
Joey reeled back and bit his tongue, hard, to stop himself from shouting out. Lance had obviously been at the whiskey again. At least that was the only reason Joey could come up with for what Lance had just said. Hadn't he spent the past five years laying everything that came fully equipped with a pair of tits? Been so careful about never looking any other way? There was no way in hell he could be considered anything other than a healthy young man. A healthy young man who liked women. Especially women with big racks. And damn Chris and Lance for thinking they knew different. Damn them for drawing conclusions when there shouldn't be any conclusions to be drawn.
"And thank Christ for that rule," Chris barked sarcastically, pacing up and down the rest room by the sounds of it, "it's probably the only reason your face hasn't been all over the tabs with the headline 'gay sex scandal' attached to it, the way you're putting it about."

Title: Misterious Ways
Author: [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Characters: Chris, Joey, Brianna, Lance, JC, Justin, AJ.
Prompt: 28. Dream
Rating: G.
Length: Long
Brief summary: So taking advantage of the 1 each 10 recs, here's an Au not in the AU prompt. Here Chris has visions of Joey's missing daughter. Between Joey's genuine sorrow at the loss of Brianna, and Chris's will to help, it's hard to say which is the best characterization of the fic. Also, it wins my award for worst first meeting of a future pair. And Deidre makes it work.
Joey felt every muscle lock into painful rigidity, and couldn't draw a deep enough breath. Beside him, he heard Justin draw in a quick, startled breath, but didn't dare to look at him. Couldn't look at him, only stare at the dark man standing in front of him, who looked as serious as anyone he'd ever seen. His heart thudded in his chest, and his blood seemed to prickle in his veins. He wanted to turn away, to wrap his misery around himself and disappear, but he was a Fatone, and didn't back down. He drew himself up to his full height, and stared down at the smaller man.
"What about Briahna?"
"I think she's still alive. I. I've had these dreams about her--"
And whatever else Kirkpatrick started to say was lost as rage, heavy and hot and crimson, slammed into him, pouring into him like lava, filling all those hollow places, wiping away the sadness, the tiredness. He had a moment to register Kirkpatrick's surprised eyes just before he drew back his arm and let go, arm driving smoothly from the shoulder, his fist landing in Kirkpatrick's face.
