Claim: Queer as Folk US, Brian/Justin
Title: Treading
Author:
trickster_
Characters: Brian, Justin, Ted, Jennifer, Michael, Emmett, Ben, Daphne
Prompt:24. Future Fic
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long (19 chapters)
Brief summary: Takes place 5 years after Justin leaves for NY. I read this entire fic in a few hours, it was that good. The characters and the story is perfectly plotted and leaves you wanting the fic to continue. Everyone should read it.
Excerpt:
He got out of bed, pulling on a pair of black sweatpants and stood at the doorway for a moment. Justin didn't even look up, busy moving around the kitchen like he'd never left. He looked like he belonged here, which... he did. That was all there was to it. It had been so easy. A couple hours spent together, not even alone, and they were back to normal, whatever normal was for them. Justin was back. In his home, in his bed, in his life.
Brian had been so used to the ache that he didn't even notice it after a while, but he sure as hell noticed when it was gone.
