The Phantom of the Opera Table

Claim: The Phantom of the Opera
Prompt: 13. Established Relationship.
Title: "Winter's Gift"
Author: Shandethe Sanders (LJ?)
Rating: K
Length: medium
Brief summary: I've read a bunch of Shadethe Sanders fic before, but I went back and re-read some after this story. It's just dawning on me that Raoul and Christine's children always have the same names in each of her stories, even though the fics can be read independently. Delayed reaction on my part! Still, it helps to create a wonderful tapestry across her writing. My only warning is if you read this story, you just might melt into a pile of goo!

Prompt: 46. Reccer's Choice.
Title: "Soldier Girl"
Author: [livejournal.com profile] stefanie_bean
Rating: M
Length: medium
Brief summary: I love how this author takes a few almost throw-away lines in the novel and expands them into a completely believable story, which still fits entirely within the world. There's always a sensual quality to her writing and an attention to historic detail. Better than most historic fiction, she actually makes the reader "feel" like she's a part of the Nineteenth Century atmosphere. It's a hallmark of her POTO writings.

The Phantom of the Opera Table

Claim: The Phantom of the Opera
Prompt: 14. Loss.
Title: "Demons"
Author: [livejournal.com profile] ashtonecks AKA Wandering Child
Rating: M
Length: epic
Brief summary: This story is perfection. I'm not exaggerating. A sensual, passionate tale, with a true sense of history, this is one of the few EC phics that do not sweep all of Erik's and Christine's issues with each other under the rug. (I could make an obvious joke about a Persian rug here, but I won't.) Wandering Child does not bash nor sugarcoat any of her characters.

Title: "The Music of Far Too Early In the Morning"
Author: [livejournal.com profile] athousandwinds
Rating: PG
Length: long
Brief summary: When the Phantom of the Opera disappears at the end of his story, there's only one *possible* explanation for where he went: He left on the TARDIS.
An older and wiser Cristine Daae no longer believes in angels--even those who fall from the sky in blue boxes; however, she still believes in asking for mercy for a friend. The Tenth Doctor believes he understands what it's like to lose someone you love; and he's used to so many alien races that Erik's looks don't bother him. In other words, Ten and Erik make perfect companions. But don't worry: Martha is still there to smack them before they start trying to out-emo each other.
