This fic is truly a magnificent story, in many ways it captures Tolkien's tragic-heroic quality that made LoTR so powerful. Losseniaiel has a wonderful gift of creating images and scenes that absolutely take your breath away.

So there's this little gem, where we have Bruce's demons and Dick being the adult and some killer imagery gut-punching you at the end. It's very good, and even if you know nothing about the canon and the characters, it still manages to do the essential in this genre: hurt and comfort.
