Brief summary: I think Suz summarizes it best - Thranduil and Elrond had a definite difference of opinion at the close of The Last Alliance. Things haven't gotten any better with time. Rated PG for language and for depicting two Elves of noble standing as a pair of eternally squabbling brats. -*snicker* Yeah.

Brief summary: Before Frodo could leave on his journey, Elrond had to answer the particular question: who would represent the Elves? Complete with Elvish logic, philosophy, and enlightening conversation. Think about it for a second, out of all the elves in Rivendell, why Legolas? Wouldn't it have been more logical to send someone like Glorfindel or one of Elrond's sons? Susie writes a rather intriguing story about why Elrond picked Legolas as the ninth walker.
