Title: Control
Author: [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone
Rating: PG
Length: medium
Brief summary:

There's a fine art to writing a good drabble, and [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone has mastered it. This is a two part story, 24 drabbles in total covering Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2 through Trinity, told first from Rodney's pov and then mirrored from John's. Each 100 word section is tighly written, bereft of all extraneous words; and they're all the more powerful for their sparseness.

Title: A McKay Carol
Author: [livejournal.com profile] amireal
Rating: PG
Length: medium
Brief summary:

A refreshing antidote to all the "scrooge McKay" fic that seemed so popular last December. There's more than one reason why someone might not share in the Christmas spirit. As the author herself says, I don't necessarily see this happening on Atlantis, but I do see it happening in an aweful lot of holiday-themed stories. By telling the story from John's perspective, [livejournal.com profile] amireal shows us both sides of the situation, highlighting how easy it is to get so wrapped up in the holiday celebrations that we forget that not everyone shares are joy.

Title: Infinite Probability
Author: [livejournal.com profile] torakowalski
Rating: Hard R/NC-17
Length: long
Brief summary:

Accidents and mishaps with Ancient or alien technology are a common feature of SGA fic. [livejournal.com profile] torakowalski offers a clever take on the standard plot, and provides a lot of angst for Rodney in the process. The gradual reveal of what's going on is well-paced, with the story becoming increasingly unsettling as it unfolds and [livejournal.com profile] torakowalski does a great job of capturing Rodney's desperation and frustration as his world spins further and further out of control.

Title: neither death, nor exile, nor pain
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mirabile_dictu
Rating: NC-17
Length: long
Brief summary:

A lovely, lyrical story about isolation, and the comfort that can come from stepping outside the lines every now and then. This story makes me want, with a kind of desperate urgency. I want the way Rodney wants, what Rodney wants, what he and John find together when they step away from their everyday lives. This is a wonderfully sensual story, full of lush descriptions. It's languid, slow-moving, yet powerful, with a wonderful depiction of shared comfort and community.

Claim: Smallville, Clark/Lex

Title: Wetwired
Author: Andariel
Rating: NC-17
Length: medium
Brief summary: This is an interesting concept for a story. Basically, Clark makes a mistake - a HUGE mistake - and he goes to Lex for comfort. There's some lovely imagery in this story.

Green eyes blaze briefly as they meet his, anger and pain momentarily exorcising the ghost of shame before it makes itself at home again. "He wasn't someone I didn't save, Lex. I killed him."

Title: Love You More Than Lint
Author: Rose Emily
Rating: PG-13
Length: long
Brief summary: In this story, Clark is in Europe on a train, and he has a realization about his relationship with Lex. He tries to tell Lex but discovers some of the perils of modern technology. The OC is the girl he sits next to on the train who's a real trip.

Clark's foot gave a nervous twitch, launching his backpack into the knees of the annoyed woman across from him. She looked considerably more annoyed now. "On t'a berc trop prs du mur?" she demanded testily as he looked an apology and drew the pack towards him again.

Clark felt his cheeks flushing red as the blonde snorted. She did remind him of Chloe. "Pardon," he murmured.
