My F/V rec table

Claim: Due South, Fraser/Vecchio
Title: Crossroads
Author: JMalabar
Characters: Fraser/Kowalski, Benton Fraser/Ray Vecchio, Kowalski/Turnbull, Diefenbaker, others.
Prompt: 23 Time
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long/Epic
Brief summary: This story is really about people coming to each other in their own time, specifically Fraser and Vecchio, even though there are other slash pariings within this fic and each pairing gets it's own focus, throughout the runnning theme is about finding the time for people to come to each other and then making use of the time that they have. It won't be to everyone's taste but I'm reccing this becuase it fits the prompt so well and has that theme of time runnning through it even though the plot is sometimes confusing. It's also a COTW 'fixit'.

Title: The Fire This Time
Author: Ruth Devero
Characters: Benton Fraser/Ray Vecchio, Diefenbaker, Welsh, Elaine, Huey, others
Prompt: 48 reccers choice
Rating: NC-17
Length: Epic
Brief summary: This is almost a novel and whilst it is a sequel to two of Ruth Devero's earlier stories; Little Mr. Marker and Thief of Hearts, it does stand up very well on it's own. There are two strands running through this story; the first is the plot of an arsonist and the second is Fraser and Ray coming to terms with how they feel. It's got a lot of layers to it and certainly keeps you engaged throughout.

My Sheppard/McKay rec50 table.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: John Sheppard/Rodney McKay
Title: Directional Theory
Author: pru ([livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock)
Characters: Sheppard/McKay, McKay/OMC
Prompt: 39 - Break-up
Rating: Mature
Length: long
Brief summary: Oh, this one *hurts*. I'm a big fan of beautiful pain, and the brutal way this story builds -- not through big events, but though tiny, sharp ones, sharp as shrew's teeth -- it's completely gut-wrenching for me. Yet I care so much, and want things to work out, that I just can't look away from the inevitable. To me, there's no demonization in this story, though there is a lot of human folly, and it's that human scale that makes it so utterly real.

Title: Untitled (The least likely reason that Galinda changed her name)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lfae
Characters: Glinda, Elphaba
Prompt: Hurt/Comfort
Rating: R

Claim: Wicked, Glinda/Elphaba
Title: Angular
Author: [livejournal.com profile] chudley_cannon
Characters: G(a)linda, Elphaba, Boq, Nessarose
Prompt: Angst
Rating: PG-13
Length: epic
Brief summary: Boq, Nessarose, Glinda, and Elphaba each tell a section in first person, and the characterization is superb throughout. But more than that, this is smart writing that illuminates the canon and, by virtue of staying within it, is angsty indeed.
