Claim: Stargate Atlantis: Ronon Dex
Title: Still
Author: Prufrock ([livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock)
Characters: Ronon, John, Teyla, Rodney
Prompt: 7 - Love
Rating: G
Length: medium
Brief summary: This story puts me in mind of Arthurian romances: it's all about loving honorably and finding something--someone--that's really worth the effort. It's also a brilliant view of Ronon and of Satedan society, as well as reflecting interestingly upon the strange conglomeration of cultures and backgrounds that represent the citizens of Atlantis.

Title: "Care and Feeding"
Author: Canis M, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Characters: Remus, Sirius
Prompt: 04. Fluff.
Rating: NC-17
Length: long
Brief summary: In this fic Sirius asks Remus to live with him. So it's laughs and sweetness and the hot boy sex. I can't say enough good things about it.

Author: [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Characters: Remus, Sirius
Prompt: 48. Reccer's Choice.
Rating: R
Length: medium
Brief summary: This fic just wrecks me. Because it's so in line with how I see the characters, and how doomed and pointless it all seems. And yet the love can't be ignored. Gorgeous.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: John Sheppard/Rodney McKay
Title: Two Weeks
Author: chelle and the grrrl ([livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle and [livejournal.com profile] thegrrrl2002)
Characters: Sheppard/McKay, others
Prompt: 07 - Love
Rating: Mature
Length: epic
Brief summary: Stargate Atlantis set up one of the most perfect slash scenarios at the end of season one's canon: what would you do if you knew you only had two weeks to live? Oh, sure, there's the whole 'we must figure out a way that we can stop the wraith' thing going along within that two weeks, but it's not something that consumes 100% of everyone's time. I'm sure the stress does, so I imagine there are a lot of fascinating things that happen in those two weeks before the wraith hive ships arrive, such as rollerblading in the halls of Atlantis, and the whole thing with uniforms becoming optional for some people, and Kate Heightmeyer, the resident psychologist, having seriously over scheduled.

It's no surprise that when asked what he would like to do in these final two weeks, Rodney's answer is: "Have lots and lots of sex."

And John's pretty much okay with that.

So it's a story of friendship, sex and love, just before the world ends.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: John Sheppard/Rodney McKay
Title: Such Is The Way To The Stars
Author: Otter ([livejournal.com profile] agentotter)
Characters: Sheppard, McKay
Prompt: 08 - Friendship
Rating: Teen
Length: Medium
Brief summary: Atlantis is running out of MALPs, so McKay stages a contest to create new ones from the parts that are available to them. So it's a scrapheap challenge, and John gets to be on Rodney's team.

Actually, John is Rodney's team, and the two of them together, determined to win the competition.

Claim: The X-Files: General Series
Title: A Woman's Code
Author: Deslea R. Judd ([livejournal.com profile] deslea)
Characters: Teena Mulder, Diana Fowley, Fox Mulder, mentions of others
Prompt: 11. Character Study
Rating: PG
Length: one-parter
Brief Summary: Mulder's mother's POV on the events of "Biogenesis"/"The Sixth Extinction"/"Amor Fati"--Teena has very strong opinions about what's best for her son, and Dana Scully isn't it. The beauty of this story is that it is utterly true to the character we saw on-screen, unapologetically so. If you don't find Teena sympathetic in the series, you won't here either, but it's *her*, but like her or not, this glimpse inside her head is strikingly compelling, and it's Deslea, so you know it's good! Also, Mulder/Scully and Mulder/Diana are both implied, and Teena makes no bones about which woman her sympathies lie with.

Claim: The X-Files: General Series
Title: Parallel Catastrophes (series)
Author: Vanzetti ([livejournal.com profile] vaznetti)
Characters: Marita Covarrubias/Alex Krycek, the Well-Manicured Man, Narcissa Malfoy, Severus Snape, Lucius Malfoy, others (I told you there would be more crossovers! *g*)
Prompt: 36. Family
Length: five shortish installments
Brief Summary: Because *of course* the Consortium would have their fingers in the Wizarding World as well--in this case, we have Marita as Narcissa Malfoy's sister, the Well-Manicured Man is a Parkinson, and Krycek is a muggle that Marita's family can't imagine why she took up with. Rendered AU by Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince, but still an entertaining read. It just makes so much sense!

Claim: Due South, Fraser/Vecchio
Title: Rapture
Author: Ashinae, [livejournal.com profile] ashinae
Characters: Benton Fraser/Ray Vecchio
Prompt: 05 Sex
Rating: NC-17
Length: Meduim
Brief summary: It's a PWP pure and simple, no redeeming features as the author says. However there is just something compelling about a pure PWP that doesn't pretend to be anything else and it does have a 'twist' at the end. This also has a sequel, another PWP.

Claim: Due South, Fraser/Vecchio
Title: I Won't Fear Love
Author: Elaine Walker
Characters: Benton Fraser/Ray Vecchio, Welsh, other officers, Vecchio family
Prompt: 06 Anger
Rating: NC-17
Length: Long
Brief summary: Whilst I'm not entirely convinced Ray would take out his anger in the way portrayed here or that he would be angry for the reason portrayed here it's done in a way which can persuade you. And the anger is balanced out by the hurt/comfort and healing later on in the fic as both Fraser and Ray come to terms with the situation and find a happy ending.

Title: The Fan
Author: Manna La Droit
Characters: Bemton Fraser/Ray Vecchio, Diefenbaker, Vecchio family, Welsh, Thatcher, other police officers, Ms Socks, various others
Prompt: 09 Hurt/Comfort
Rating: NC-17
Length: Epic
Brief summary: This is a must read. Fantasically plotted with an interesting and complex plot woven into the more personal scenes which resonate very strongly. Everything about it is good from plot to dialogue to some lovely metaphors and the hurt/comfort scenes have an emotional depth to them. Whilst the two sequels for this story (The Cabin and The Family) are not quite as good as a series it's a must read for anyone into the Fraser/Vecchio pairing.

Characters: Benton Fraser/Ray Vecchio
Prompt: 41 drabble
Rating: G
Length: short
Brief summary: I love all of [livejournal.com profile] pixiecatfish's drabbles and it was hard to pick just one. In the end I went for this one because it just gives you a warm fuzzy glow. Plus it's got a nice Ray POV and some nice description. Everything I want in a drabble really.

Title: Academic Punk
Author: the hoyden, on LJ [livejournal.com profile] thehoyden
Characters: Fraser, Ray, Victoria, Dief, the gang
Prompt: 2. AU
Rating: NC-17
Length: long
Brief summary: This is one of the best AUs in the due South fandom, in my personal opinion. Boy, did I resist taking Ray and Fraser out of their canon universe for a long, long time. Academic Punk was one of the stories that turned me into a lover of good, true to character AUs. In this one, Ray is a very well-known professor at a Chicago university, and Fraser is a visiting professor from the University of Guelph, whose evil ex (Victoria) screwed his academic career and sent him running. Ray and Fraser are still very much themselves, and I loved watching their relationship develop. And I can’t help but confess a soft spot for a brilliant Ray.

Title: A Fine and Private Place
Author: Resonant, on LJ [livejournal.com profile] resonant8
Characters: The usual suspects
Prompt: 46. Reccer’s Choice
Rating: NC-17
Length: medium
Brief summary: This is one of my favorite dS stories, hence being one of my reccer’s choice entries. I like that it doesn’t take Ray and Fraser years to figure things out like most fics, but rather ten days. Fraser is lonely and confused about Vecchio’s departure, and he realizes that he’s attracted to Ray, and vice versa. It’s simple, somewhat of a PWP, but Fraser’s loneliness and the void that Ray fills for him come through beautifully. This is one of a few of Resonant’s fics that I’ve picked for my 50, but this is definitely my favorite.
