Claim: Harry Potter-Ronald 'Ron' Weasley
Title: The Tao of Diogenes
Author: The Treacle Tart
Characters: Ron Weasley/Severus Snape
Prompt: #14-Loss
Rating: R
Length: Long
Brief summary: This story is set after the war when Snape is being treated for injuries with none other than his former student Ron Weasley as his medi-wizard. This story is poignant, beautifully written, and deals with events both men went through during the course of the war and how it brings them together now. The losses Ron suffered and the things he experienced during the war brought a sense of maturity, sadness, and the backbone needed to deal with his cranky and snarky ex-Potions Professor as a patient. The characterization is spot on, the banter between Ron and Snape is absolutely hilarious, and it's probably the best Harry Potter fan fiction story I've ever read and that's saying a lot.

"Not nearly enough," Ron said with a sigh. He gave the duck another squeeze and again it squeaked at the Potions master. "He looks rather regal don't you think, his beak held high in the air like that. I've named him Diogenes."

"Diogenes?" Snape asked, his curiosity overriding his disdain.

Ron gave him a small smile. "A Muggle Greek philosopher who had total disregard for the conventional morality of what he took to be a corrupt human society. He believed in living a life of complete self-sufficiency and utter simplicity. I thought you'd like him." He tossed the duck to Snape who caught it without looking away from Ron.

He turned to stare at the bright aquatic fowl who was haughtily staring back.

"Yes," he whispered. "Yes, I believe I would."

Title: At Fauntleroy & Diagon Alley
Author: Icarus
Characters: Ron Weasley/Harry Potter
Prompt: #21-Epiphany
Rating: PG-13
Length: Short
Brief summary: Ron drags Harry into a less...distinguished part of Diagon Alley where he teaches his boyfriend the subtlties of what gay-dar is. An enjoyable, light-natured read that is short enough only to take moments, but will lift any wayward spirits.

A couple of young men walked by; one was shirtless, the other (barely) wore a brief cropped top. As they passed, Mr Crop-Top scanned Ron from head to toe, unobserved by his 'friend'. Ron's grin expanded.

Harry's eyes widened. "Okay, now I saw that."

"Well. He all but whipped my pants to my knees and settled in for lunch." Ron shook his head sagely. "You're gonna to have to get a lot better at this, or I'll be tempted to flirt outrageously behind your back."
