Big Damn Table.

Claim: Stargate Atlantis: Teyla
Title: Dinner at Eight
Author: Selenay ([livejournal.com profile] selenay936)
Characters: Teyla, Elizabeth
Prompt: 37 - Make-up
Rating: PG
Length: Medium
Brief summary: Elizabeth and Teyla have been enjoying dinner together on a sporadic basis, but the events of Suspicion has caused problems with their building relationship. It's a very sweet story of the two of them coming to an understanding, and I love the subtext of them agreeing that their jobs will affect their personal life.

Elizabeth nervously tugged her shirt down again and tried not to pace. Teyla would be here. She had been at the new village for two days helping her people to settle, but there was no reason to think that Teyla would forget about their dinner plans. She had remembered their first dinner, despite nearly dying when the Puddle Jumper got stuck in the Gate.
Of course, Elizabeth hadn't accused Teyla and her people of being Wraith spies just before their first dinner together. That kind of thing could make people forget dinner plans.

Title: Need
Author: eretria ([livejournal.com profile] eretria)
Characters: Sheppard, Teyla
Prompt:38 - Betrayal
Rating: PG-13
Length: short
Brief summary: Another follow-on to The Gift, where Teyla is driven to seek out John in the middle of the night. I really like eretria's writing, and so much of it has a darker, more realistic edge.

When she wakes up, it’s there: The burning need, the feeling of her skin crawling and her limbs shaking with wanting what she’s been denied for so long.

There is no conscious decision in her actions, she leaves her room, knocks at his door only briefly and enters without waiting for an answer.
