Title:Seventy-Five Miles and Hour (in the slow lane)
Author:Synecdochic
Characters:JC, Lance mainly
Prompt:Redemption
Rating:PG
Length: shortish?
Brief summary: This story combines some of my favorites - the realities of a relationship, road tripping, and an exploration of how people change through time.  It's filed under redemption because it fits in two ways.  One definition of redemption is "the payment of an obligation".  In that sense, JC and Lance's yearly roadtrip is an obligation, something that they do out of deference to tradition and their personal history.  Another definition is to restore the worth of something, make it what it once was - make it whole.  That something could be a relationship, be it romantic or friendly.  The trip becomes something more than just driving, but a chance to heal.

Title:A Humble Amen
Author:Lilysaid
Characters:all five, some OC
Prompt:Family
Rating:PG
Length: Medium
Brief summary: My favorite Amish AU.  (Yes, this fandom has more than one!  Popslash is all encompassing.)  I almost put this under First Time, or Epiphany, or a couple of others.  But I think one of the strongest themes here is the different families we have, and how we relate.  There's the blood family, parents and siblings.  The family formed by a close-knit community like the Amish.  The family we create for ourselves as we grow older and select our companions.  Each family brings its own particular joys and sorrows - and decisions.  I love this story almost more than I can say.
