That's what she had said. She was right, of course. Lilah was so often right. Lilah was self-aware; she knew her own weaknesses. She knew his weaknesses too - it was her.

In fact a lot of fic is set somewhat in the future, and deals with Lilah. post-death. (Some is AU future too. See my original character rec of Prophecy Moppet!) This isn't so much future fic. But it leaves off with Lilah wondering what her future would have been, if she hadn't died and therefore seemed in my head somewhat appropriate.
