"Heart of Stone, Eyes of Tree" and "In The Dark"

My prompt table/list.

Claim: Nsync: Lance Bass
Title: Heart of Stone, Eyes of Tree
Author: Synecdochic, at venus in furs and [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic
Characters: Nsync, Matthew Kinrowan, the Queen of Faerie
Prompt: 08 Friendship
Rating: explicit sex
Length: epic (eight parts)
Brief summary: This is a modern day fairy tale, based on Tam Lin, but first and foremost it is a story about the strenght of friendship, and of love. The never-admitted love that makes Lance determined to find a way to save Chris, the friendship that makes the rest of Nsync willing to take on something none of them really believes in for Chris' sake. The writing is beautiful and fully captures the contrasts between their modern-day life and the old, old tale that they find themselves caught up in.

[T]hat night, Chris came back late, later than he usually did. Lance had been lying awake in the room he shared with Justin - telling himself that he just couldn't sleep, not that he was waiting up to make sure that Chris got home safely and okay. He'd slipped out of bed when he'd heard something or someone stumble into the wall of the hallway. When he opened the door, Chris - soaked to the bone, shivering uncontrollably, pale as a sheet, with his wrist wrapped up in some sort of bandage - stumbled again and turned around to face him.

"Chris," Lance had asked, thinking the worst. Bar fight. Mugging. "Are you okay?"

Chris had just looked back at him - no, through him, like Lance wasn't even really there. "Lance," he'd said, softly. Trying to remember who Lance was.

Chris' eyes were hollow, and tiny rivulets of water were running down his cheeks from the braids. The look in his eyes had made Lance shiver, like something walked over his grave. He stepped out into the hallway a little more. "Chris," he'd said. "Chris. What happened?"

"Nothing," Chris had said, and looked down at his wrist. "And everything." And then he'd shaken himself, like a dog trying to shed water, and was Chris again. "You should be in bed. It's late."

---
"I said I don't want you guys involved in this, dammit."

"And I said that I wasn't going to let it drop, and I'm not, dammit," Lance said, matching Chris' tone exactly. "Joey and I found out some stuff last night. We've got a plan."

Title: In The Dark
Author: Lucy, at Abducted By Aliens and [livejournal.com profile] lucy_fic
Characters: Lance, Kevin Richardson
Prompt: 19 Dark
Rating: explicit sex
Length: short
Brief summary: Angry men in the dark. Silence and heat and the culmination of something long delayed. One of the very best angry!sex stories.

They stumbled through the door, Lance pushed up hard against his back, and Kevin missed the swipe against the light switch and thought that was probably a good thing. The last thing either one of them needed was to see what they were doing.

He turned around, caught Lance's hands in the midst of stripping his leather jacket off, and held them tight against his chest. Lance looked at him, and even in the dim light Kevin could see the flash of green - that spark of anger that had brought them here, to this. Perversely, it made him smile.
