Thanks for that great little piece of fic (Form 1879 C). The characters are drawn up beautifully. I love Fraser being snippy, mainly because he knows that he has been obstinate and reckless, but just doesn't want to admit it.
And best of all - it has such a surprising ending, I really didn't see this coming.

"And then what happened, son?" the mountie asked.
"Well, we were killed, dad. Obviously."

What a dry humor! I just cracked up. :-)
I couldn't read "After" though, it wouldn't open.
