Claim: Harry Potter, General Series (not to be mistaken for genfic)
Title: Mapmakers
Author: [livejournal.com profile] casirafics
Characters: Fred Weasley, with appearances by Remus and various other members of the order
Prompt: #14 Loss
Rating: M (Mature)
Length: Long (9000)
Brief summary: This story, written from Fred's point of view, is a story about searching for answers in a time of loss. It takes place over the summer between Harry's fifth and sixth years. Everyone is hurting from Sirius' death and Fred requests the Marauders' Map back from Harry so that he can find some answers on his own from the source, so to speak. It is sad and heart-wrenching and has underlying tones of Remus & Sirius having been together.

Title: When A Potion Isn't Enough
Author: [livejournal.com profile] meredyth_13
Characters: Harry, Snape
Prompt: #26 Death
Rating: PG
Length: Long (2100)
Brief summary: Harry has been cursed in the final battle against Voldemort. It's not a pretty sight and he has very few visitors anymore, except for one cranky potions master trying to keep the curse at bay. The author seems to speak from a very personal place here as we're let in on a conversation about permanent and real goodbyes. Be careful with your heart as you read it, but definitely read it.
