He watches his brother stir on the bed, shaking off tangled sheets, unnecessary in the sticky Mexico night, Lincoln's eyes half opening and meeting his own.

"Mike?" he rasps quietly, and Michael can't help but smile at the sound, at the sight.

"Yeah. Couldn't sleep," he says, soft, doesn't want to disturb the moment, so quiet and he thinks, almost perfect, the two of them just here, finally. He wants to erase so much of what has gone between them in the past, so much of the past in general, and just - restart, he thinks, like a computer. If only it were so simple, combinations of 0 and 1, everything yes or no, black and white in some way that made sense, not this tangled mess of guilt and loss and love, so much love, but even that wasn't always so straight forward.
