Brief summary: Even in the show it's fairly obvious that Tony is pretty insecure and that he really looks up to Gibbs. And it's a very popular opinion that Tony's joking, womanizing self is just a mask. In this fic Tony trys to strip away that mask, and then replace it with another more serious and focussed mask, resulting in some self-destructive behaviour. Gibbs reacts and things get a bit more fun and it is fabulous.
